I'm just curious: What is the average distance rifle shot you take on a whitetail deer? My shots are usually between between 50 and 150 yards, but I've taken them as close as 15 yards and as far away as 200 yards.

I wish that OU would play Texas later in the season. I know this would mess up the whole state fair thing, but think of the possibilities.

I go fishing to get away from things that annoy me. Everything is bliss on the water. No worries. Off the water is usually a different story, but with the current state of the BCS, I am joyfully laughing off the water as well.

Mizzou is still a dangerous team. With all of the hype in the South, people forget about them. Texas should be in the Title game if OU falls to Mizzou. I don't see the voters letting Utah in, and Texas has a large lead over USC currently. If OU loses, I'm personally pulling for Ball State. ;D

I shoot a .270 Win, my dad shoots a .30-06. The .270 shoots flatter, which is a plus if you're shooting at longer distances. .30-06 usually has a larger bullet, which can give you more knockdown power. Both get the job done. The deer don't seem to mind what hits them. While we're on the subject of cartridges, does anyone have any opinions on the 7mm Rem Mag?

We called it wiffle ball. Played it every day, every summer back in the day. Home plate was a trash can lid, first base was an electrical box, second base was a tree, and third was the corner of the house. Ground rule double was over the neighbor's driveway. Home run was over the neighbor's house. I've played soccer at least 4 times a week since this spring. Soccer deserves more credit than most people give it. It's great.
