  2. Getting hooks caught in clothing, people crossing your lines... People using my stuff without my permission and loosing it >
  3. The weirdest way I almost caught a bass : Me and a couple of my friends were fishing a small pond for bluegill (didn't even know it held bass) well I hooked a blue and right before I picked it out of a water a 2-3# came up and almost snatched the blue. This scared the crap out of me. That was also the largest panfish I have ever caught.
  4. Just have fun and the fish will come. Remember: Slackers catch fish
  5. Turtles are probably your problem. If they are, sooner or later you'll hook one. My case was with crankbait. All three trebles! Make sure you have a pair of pliers.
  6. How hot was it? When the temps rise, the bass move a little deeper out
  7. I'm glad to see someone trying to help out learning angler's like myself. As much as I and everyone else wants more tackle, you should in my opinion, give it to someone who needs equipment. There are some people who can't afford things like this, and it would mean the world to them. Good luck.
  8. Well, like everybody else said, it's all about confidence. However when I make that perfect cast, I seem to work the bait better, Unlike when you make a sorry cast and you just want to hurry up, reel it in and make a better one. When I make that perfect cast, which is right in the middle of those weeds, ect. you just gotta feelin that that's the one.
  9. I guess i'll have to teach em' the rules this morning
  10. See, this is the weird part. Right after I arrived there, one of my friends was using a white, very small(1in. or less) for bream and crappie. then we started catching bass with those things. What gives? Later in the day we didn't catch anything with those things or anything else for that matter.
  11. Recently I discovered a pond near my house(which excited me because before that I had to travel 20-25 miles to find a decent bass spot), and near noon when it was 90+ degrees, caught a numerous amount of fish. However after nooon around 1-2 oclock, Nothing was rising. This water is dirty, not just muddy. It's got debris and a lot of other things floating in it. Do i need to be using shiny noticeable and bright colored baits? Any suggestions? Thanks
  12. Hey fellow arkansan, are you fishing a lake(if so name it) or pond river ect. Also It's been pretty hot recently so the fish are deeper. Most are suspended anywhere from 8-20 feet in the day here. Topwater bite is o.k. in the cooler windy mornings. I've thrown a DD22 (Deep diving Crank) recently on main points and had some success. hope this helps If you are fishing beaver, you catch some just be patient If nothing else works always go back to the slow working worms, grubs, ect.
  13. Thanks guys, guess i'm just a tight wad trying to save a few extra bucks.
  14. Hey guys, How can i get my hands on good detailed fishing maps without paying the hefty price of hotspots (think that's right) ect. (know this is a tuffy because I myself have not answered it. And I have been trying to for many years now) Thanks in advance.
  15. Don't work muddy, all of my buddies seem to have the deep desire of not letting their head go under the water.
  16. They are hard to beat... same story with me only with different people and a rifle stock
