  1. The rebel crawfish crankbaits the smaller ones run shallow or deep. In chartruese the bass love them in rivers and streams. I find the panther Martin's #4 silver blade yellow/orange dressed with the red teaser. I scale down my bait size. I cast out farther then my target hole, backwash or exposed rock and bring my bait to it. Depending on how big your river is. Smallies like the joesfly in his 1/4oz bass size in firetiger apache. Just reel it slow enough to spin the blade.
  2. Yes with my jig purchase from Sieberts outdoors I purchased the double rattle holders for the jigs. I play on all the basses senses. Sound, sight, smell, and vibration. To me I'm in a poker game with four aces. There are different tones in rattles. High pitch and low pitch in crankbaits. It's a one ball knocker or a multiple of smaller balls. Again a low tone or a high tone. I'm not sure what's available for jigs. I use a rattle in the worm heads too. I think it's an advantage.
  3. Well the Bill Lewis super rattle trap colors caught my eye at TW.
  4. Yum money minnow with the dying minnow twitch presentation just snap twitch it and let if go where ever. Wait and repeat.
  5. I use a copolymer fishing line. Mainly Excaliber Silver Thread copolymer. I use 4lb line for trout, 6lb for bass. I seen 5lb line somewhere. As far as treble hooks in trees once there dug in there impossible to get out. Stay calm when casting, don't rush.
  6. Ok I have another thought. It our topwater stuff isn't working tie on a spinnerbait and reel it just slow enough below the sight line where we can't see it. Try a white spinnerbait or chartruese color spinnerbait or your favorite spinnerbait. Remember when the topwater action isn't working. I hope your willing to post your results.

There's a rebel hump back crank?? I think there gold finish looks great
  8. I feel like rip van winkle not owning a boat technology has passed me by?? You use two fish finders so one shows your lure going to the fish? Not only can you find fish you can target each one? I think this is what I saw on espn the other day. Darn for a shore Fisherman even with my cast out portable fish finder I'm in the stone age. It's not one on one anymore it's ok I just fast forwarded a century. Lmao
  9. Found two more new casting rods. The R2S brand river 2 sea. Both 6' casting rods one med/lt, one lt. Both are kind of whippy at the 1/3rd upper section good for casting lighter baits. Anyone use R2S rods?
  10. Well if I yell cover your ears to the middle of the night she's going to say "HUH"???? Then two loud bangs. Ears ringing for ever.
  11. Same here there all the same brother. Now if my first gut feeling is to buy it I jump on it. I caught Heck for buying a leaf blower once. After 25 years of service the fuel line leaks. I told her to man the rakes till I fix it or get a new one. Watch how fast we get a new one. Lmao Fishing equipment over rides everything now.
  12. A 6' med/lt or a lt rod can have some upper flexibility for tossing lighter baits. But the line test matters. I prefer a lt 5'/5'6" rod with 6lb test.
  13. I put things aside when I found out I had cancer. Time stops when we hear the BIG C? But today medicine is unbelievable.I'm doing ok now. I think about life different now. Beating cancer is like catching a new world record LMB 10X over. If any BR brother has cancer and you want to just talk im here. Been there done that seriously. It's not the end. Nothing will ever beat me down.
  14. I'm going to use them. I think I purchased them from TW probably over two years ago.
  15. The deer are hitting the scraps discount bread. Leafy vegetables.
  16. The only good advice my mom ever said was you have good benefits, good pay someone else has the headaches. I told my boss I don't want his job, I'm a worker not a politician. You handle the politics, ill handle the work.
  17. Don't forget the wire leader. We used stainless wire line with Penn 49M reels trolling for blues in a boat in long Iland sound.
  18. I forgot, get distracted. Then buy more. I know there not expensive but there 10x better then my older stuff. I noticed I had pistol grip rods in the stash too. The grandchildren will fish forever.
  19. I use a $15 hurricane rod with a better reel and linear fishnsave.com
  20. I been using a state certified scale at a nearby local deli. But I c&r them. Now with the new slot limit law they can't leave the waters edge. I have a mechanical scale but need a new one too. Well Christmas is coming. Need to carry two measuring tapes.
  21. I had a few minutes in the tackle room today. Before I purchased the new LEWS SPEED STICK RODS. I purchased some casting rods and put them away. I found,,, LEWS SPEED STICK EX HVY, EXTRA FAST ACTION 7'2" casting. ABU GARCIA VENGENCE 6'6" MH casting. Berkley lightening strike 6'6" med. What do ya think?? I have more hidden away. Time to sort things out. I haven't been in the tackle room for a year..

I seen the gaudy plain colors that the combo c electors picked. I think the newer lure colors preform way better with the color c lectors. KVD uses one on tough days.
  23. Grow time wise? Quicker if the wife feeds them. Right now it's bread. Deer and fish get fed bread.
  24. The ATOM popper of course in blue and white. For blueish. Rubber surgical tubing(eels) with a weighted head for stripers Large Kastmaster silver with white Bucktail. Silver There's a spoon that turns in a circle it's hot for trolling for blues and weakfish.
