at my local shop it's $8 or $9 for a 4 oz bottle , same price online.
kvd comes in 4 oz , 16 oz and 1 gallon. you could really save some money if you buy a gallon of kvd , although I have no idea what the shelf life is..
I have 3 brakes on and 2.5 on the dial. Have not flushed the stock bearings yet. I hope the new curado is just like it but , holds more line and maybe a tad smoother (like the E series).
I understand you can buy 1 gallon of kvd for $75.
But , 32 oz of 303 for $23 vs 16 oz of kvd for $20.
I'd be willing bet good money it's the same stuff.
I have both..The drag is way better on the 70 , it comes in a higher gear ratio. and parts will be available farther down the road for the 70. But , I like simplicity of the old style brakes on the 50, and the fact that it was made in Japan.
Last trip to the store I checked them out ,I saw a few on the rack that were as crooked as a dog's hind leg. You better check them real good before you walk out with one.
I have 65 lb on my flipping stick and punch rod , really like it. if you only use 50 yards at a time with mono backing , that's enough for 3 reels...not bad for $15 !!
