  1. Most likely people talking about the old ones , the new ones that came out this last year are not that good.
  2. A uni to uni , three turns on each side will do it.
  3. I have one of the new crankin sticks , the grey one , 7'6. Decent rod but , I think there are way better rods for the money. They really are cheap compared to the old style bps crankin sticks. Dobyns 705CB Fury would be a better choice imo. Or a St.Croix Bass X 7'2 MH Moderate.
  4. Tat 100 is 6.9 oz. Not exactly heavy and clunky.
  5. I have owned both , still have the Tatula 100 , it has the extra bearings where it needs it. The Slx xt and the Slx both got geary feeling after some extensive use. The Tat is still smooth , not to mention it bomb cast with little effort.
  6. The package I bought said they fit the curado HG and XG. Either way , they worked on the slx xt hg. I would recommend only changing the big washer. The smaller one might be a different thickness and mess with gear alignment. That's what I did.
  7. If you search youtube. Look for one titled "Daiwa BG Full maintenance and service tutorial" you'll see a excellent vid on the BG , a complete tear down. It's about 57 mins long.
  8. I'd be totally surprised if they have a replacement. They are around if you look hard enough.
  9. 15# big game , same I throw a spinner bait on.
  10. When I'm dragging a worm or senko for double digit fish , it's with P-Line CXX 15#. That line is no joke. Keep it sprayed down with kvd or reel magic if you're worried about memory.
  11. I have both , like them equally. Been using the 8.1 Tat 100 for frogs and paddle tail swimbaits , 50# braid. It has not disappointed one bit.
  12. Gears got rough , the reel was not smooth after a couple of months.
  13. I used it for flipping and it didn't last. Fuego and Tatulas are still going strong.
  14. Nothing wrong with a 705cb. The Veritas crankbait rod line up is pretty extensive if you're looking to save some cash.
  15. I'm gonna say fuego , for the higher bearing count on the crankshaft. I had both , still own the fuego.
  16. If you're looking to save money, buy it in bigger containers. They make a 16 oz bottle and you can also buy 1 gallon.
  17. P-line Cx or Big Game , can't go wrong with either. Never used Sunline Super Natural , gonna try it here in the near future.
  18. Dobyns Fury 795SB http://dobynsrods.com/rod/fr-795sb/
  19. If you mail it back to daiwa , they would fix it for little to nothing.Even though it's out of warranty. Print this paper , box it up and send it in. https://www.daiwa.com/us/service/image/ServiceRequestForm.pdf
  20. I saw the Tatula Elites selling on ebay for $219 if you can scrounge up another $19.
  21. I think the one to hold on to will be the Tatula Sv. There's a new one on the way , but there's gonna be ppl that swear by the old one. Tackle trap has a killer deal on them right now. I am in no way affiliated, just passing along a good deal.
  22. Tatula 150P 5:5:1 ratio , sportsman outfitters has them for $109. Aluminum frame and side plate ,gear side. That's what I use.
  23. Silver Thread AN40 is a co-poly but , my favorite. It's now been discontinued by pradco. Luckily I have few thousand yards stashed of 10# and 17#.
