I have one of the new crankin sticks , the grey one , 7'6. Decent rod but , I think there are way better rods for the money. They really are cheap compared to the old style bps crankin sticks.
Dobyns 705CB Fury would be a better choice imo. Or a St.Croix Bass X 7'2 MH Moderate.
I have owned both , still have the Tatula 100 , it has the extra bearings where it needs it.
The Slx xt and the Slx both got geary feeling after some extensive use. The Tat is still smooth , not to mention it bomb cast with little effort.
The package I bought said they fit the curado HG and XG. Either way , they worked on the slx xt hg.
I would recommend only changing the big washer. The smaller one might be a different thickness and mess with gear alignment. That's what I did.
If you search youtube. Look for one titled "Daiwa BG Full maintenance and service tutorial" you'll see a excellent vid on the BG , a complete tear down. It's about 57 mins long.
When I'm dragging a worm or senko for double digit fish , it's with P-Line CXX 15#. That line is no joke. Keep it sprayed down with kvd or reel magic if you're worried about memory.
If you mail it back to daiwa , they would fix it for little to nothing.Even though it's out of warranty.
Print this paper , box it up and send it in.

I think the one to hold on to will be the Tatula Sv. There's a new one on the way , but there's gonna be ppl that swear by the old one. Tackle trap has a killer deal on them right now. I am in no way affiliated, just passing along a good deal.
