  1. St.Croix Tidemaster TIC80HF or TIC80MHF would match up nice with that reel , I use the TIS80HF and the TIS80MHF for oversized snook and reds both have Sustain 8000's on them with #50 p.p.
  2. Read post #4. The trick to ebay is search "buy it now" with "lowest price & shipping" first. Nothing to be leery of check there feedback most have thousands of good reviews.
  3. This. You can find Citica's for $90 TYD..The difference ia a plastic frame vs a aluminum frame.Citica is made in Japan ,the other is made in Malaysia.

  5. I use the trilene knot on mono and fluoro ,and a uni knot on braid...Uni to uni for a splice.
  6. Abrasion testing. http://home.comcast.net/~estero69/site/ The Fireline was the original Fireline, not the Fireline braid. As far as samurai braid goes, most saltwater guys (tuna fisherman) will tell you that samurai braid will break below stated strength on the package. Not that a bass fisherman needs to know that , just sayin.
  7. Bought me some "outdated" power pro last night
  8. Its called the marketing machine.
  9. I use a Saros 3000 for inshore saltwater with a St.Croix Tidemaster TIS76MF #20 braid. I have caught just about everything on that set up.Snook , over slot reds, juvenile tarpon ,speckled trout, flounder, blue fish, spanish macks etc. etc.Keep it lubed and it should last you life time bass fishing.Don't forget to keep the line roller lubed.
  10. GL3 783C #12 sufix elite.
  11. The Dick's around here have them also. I picked one up @ the Naval base in Pensacola, last time I was there with my Uncle ,$45 out the door.
  12. Calico Jack rods made by Redbone are excellent rods for the $$.
  13. Can't say, have only seen pics.I don't even use fluorocarbon line. All though I do keep some fluorocarbon leader (triple fish brand) in my saltwater bag for rare occasions.
  14. This is what it looks like.
  15. Temple Fork Outfitters paid to have his name associated with these rods , in hopes of pulling the wool over a few people eye's....Apparently it has worked pretty well.
  16. Check Gander Mountain online.
  17. Garcia's are relativity easy to get parts for according to my LTS.
  18. Yo-zuri pin minnow caught my biggest bass ever on it, 12 pounds.Trolling it behind the boat with the trolling motor on ,in the middle of the lake, on my ultra light lighting rod ,daiwa spincast with 4# stren.lol I was actually fishing for specs ,and she jumped on it.
  19. One thing that could be better IMO is to have the forum centered in the middle of the screen instead of off to the left , I have seen other forums that run google banners also and there forum's are centered on the screen. Some peoples avatars are taking up a big part of the screen.
  20. Okeechobee..Go straight down 70 to HWY 27 and on into Clewiston.
  21. If your looking for a gel check out Pro-Cure.
  22. I heard they had some problems , don't know if it was resolved..Also heard that the red and black Damiki Dark Angel rods where the "Mercedes Benz" out of the two.
