  1. A few more: not bad huh?
  2. A few pictures of the city I live, Florianopolis.
  3. Basically keep the line tensioned...
  4. Have you checked the atmospheric pressure? Normally, if it varies too much on the day or in a few days before, fish get inactive... that happens a lot here in Brazil with snook... and of course with other species...
  5. Thanks skillet!
  6. Thanks muddy, daviscw and jrhennecke for the welcome. And thanks Uncle Leo for the tips, it will have a great value when I get there!
  7. Try torpedoes (baby torpedo, etc), zaras and poppers... topwater baits. If the fish is attacking deeper, you can try those jigs (yellow)... retrieving fast with little stops...
  8. Thanks a lot Popeye!! This forum seems to have lots of information about bass (and other species) fishing!! I'm very excited to fish there... It would be great if I could find a place close to Champaign to fish... I never caught a bass in my life... Imagine if I catch my first one in the Bass land!!!
  9. Hello everyone! I'm new here, I live in Brazil and fish snook... I've introduced myself in the general forum... Is there a guide service or something in Clinton Lake, for bassfishing? I'm probably going to USA on September and I'll be in Champaign... and it would be great if I could fish there... thanks a lot!
  10. just completing... And it's totally different from amazon, jungle, etc... Brazil has a lot of big cities and lots of places to fish! And of course, black bass (largemouth)! Thanks everyone!
  11. I'd like to post some images of Floripa but I can't do it right now because I don't have enough # of posts yet... but if you type florianopolis at google image search you can have an idea! It's a beautiful island! 8-)
  12. Thanks!! Regards, Vitor
  13. Hi everybody! I'm Vitor Isaia, from Brazil. I fish since I was 13 (now I'm 27) and here in my city (Florianopolis, southern Brazil region) I basically fish snook in salty/mangrove rivers. I've always practiced baitcasting and catch-and-release. My brother-in-law lives in Urbana IL (near to Champaign) and me and my wife are probably going to visit him on September... I'd like to know if is there a good place to fish bass in Champaign region? Thanks a lot!
