  1. Media Bass is a great organization. I'm sure you will enjoy fishing with them.
  2. I use Blue/White/Chart most of the time. My biggest SB bass 8.5 lbs came off this color
  3. If you haven't been skunked, you haven't been fishing. Even the pro's have days like that.
  4. I'm using Sun Covers that fit over my glasses. Good side shields and UV protection. Cocoons and Fit overs are a couple of other brands.
  5. Personally I would go with the Mercury. I can't find anything that supports the claim the Tohatsu builds Mercury's small motors. They may purchase the powerheads from Tohatsu (as they did from Yamaha for a while) but the motors are built and backed by Mercury. As far as size what is your boat rated for and what will you be using it for will help you determine the size of motor.
  6. Dragging a worm, whether T rigged or C rigged. Boring
  7. As noted practice is the best way to work on decreasing backlashes. I would also recommend a line treatment such as KVD Line and Lure treatment. It helps greatly in reducing backlashes and it makes it easier to get them out when you get one.
  8. Personally I use Abu Garcia 4600 reels for my crankbaits. The winch 3.8:1 for deep cranks and 5.3 for all others. Good, dependable and affordable reels
  9. Usually I wouldn't, but I did buy 2 rods from Acadia. It is a mail order house, some of you may have gotten the flyers in the mail. I needed a couple of general purpose rods for less experienced fishermen and I was real suprise and please with the rods. The only draw back is that they have a limited selection. On the positive side they have a 30 or 90 day money back guarentee so that doesn't hurt.
  10. I should be able to make it this year. See ya there.
  11. I agree with the 4600, I haven't had any problem palming them and I have average size hands.
  12. Good, I thought it was me.
  13. Largemouth: 8 lbs 5 oz 1/4 oz Stanley spinnerbait blue/white/chart Smallmouth: 5lbs 4 oz 1oz White spinnerbait (Home made)
  14. I put down time on the water because that is a great teacher, but I do have an extensive library and do learn a lot by reading, but you have to be on the water to see if it will work.
