  1. I'm in!
  2. You know how many yards it is in 8# test? That looks like a real good deal!
  3. Hey guys, I'm looking into getting a depth/fish finder for my birthday this year.. I fish mainly out of a 9' pond prowler, but occasionally borrow a buddies john boat. Portability is a must, as I'll have to take it off my boat everytime I go out since I don't keep it at my house. The main lake I fish goes to around 60 ft deep from what I hear from some of the older folks around here. I'd like to find some of these spots. I really just want the depth finder option to explore my home lake better, but having a fish finder would also be beneficial once I learn how to use it. What are the best options under maybe $150 at the most? Not looking for anything fancy, just something portable that will tell me the depth I'm in, and maybe something I could use later on and on unfamiliar lakes.
  4. For real! You know by any chance if you can order them online for that price?? Ain't no darn Cabela's around here... >
  5. I haven't posted in like a year, but I've got a Pond Prowler as well... I sealed off the bottom with 3m 5200 quick dry, and it didn't attack the plastic or anything, it's actually held up quite well. I've got some major cracks on the floor of the boat that I've been wanting to seal, but can't seem to find a good way since they're all in the corners and what-not. So, I've been storing it upside-down now so it doesn't fill with rain water, that worked well until it got infested with ants... > So now I've got two problems, but oh well, I can still get off shore! If you're gonna use the 5200, test it on a small area first just in case, because it's not recommended for plastic style boats.
  6. I agree on white! Looks good!
  7. For real... Thanks for droppin' some knowledge!
  8. I agree with this, but the Clackin' Rap is not a bad lure at all.
  9. That doesn't sound all that bad... ;D ;D ;D Seriously though, it looks like a lot of the country is getting hit by some high temps... Global warming?? ;D
  10. Man, this heat's definitely been keeping me from doing so much bass fishin... I've only been going out in the evenings and it's still friggin' blazing! Looks like your actual temp. up there is higher, but you guys don't have the humidity we got down here! Good lord!
  11. Florida roads would be about 90% more efficient with these stricter tests. Seriously. ;D
  12. Snook, I'm takin' Pops out on the Lady K on Saturday morning for Father's Day! Think it'll be good fishin'? I don't know much about saltwater. Last time I went on that boat, my buddy caught a nice Kingfish. Mmmmmmm tasty!!
  13. And you don't have to give them a "broken" rod?
  14. I picked up a Pond Prowler 9' off of Craiglist for $500. Came with two trolling motors, a 50# and 30#, both are Minnkota Enduras, as well as an anchor, lifevests, paddles, and two batteries. Definitely keep your eyes open for deals on there!
  15. Man, that's a d**n good deal right there... Wish I had the loot... :'(
