  1. Send me one and I'll call it mine.
  2. Huh?? Couple examples: SK KVD 1.5. TW $5.49. BPS $6.39. Project Z Chatterbait. T.W $7.99 BPS $8.99.Stanley Top Toad. T.W. $5.99. BPS. $6.99. Just a few examples of an order I just placed. Everything was more at BPS and only one item was the same. B.T.D. and L.B.F. are among several others that are priced lower and also have a better selection. I think BPS is more expensive than 99% of all the rest. Well maybe not 99% but quite a few. It is nice they are just about everywhere. I do like to see and feel certain items, rods, reels, new lures etc. before I buy.
  3. I'm like alot of others. Love Senkos, hate one and done. Always on the lookout for sales. I also like BPS Stick-O's. They are pretty darn close in weight to Senko's. But here's the weird part. I have to take one out of the bag and feel it. They are not consistent. I look for baits that are soft and don't snap back to shape instantly. The right ones work every bit as well as Senko's. Same for S.K. Shimee Sticks. These are a little more consistent but a tad lighter. One bait I think out wiggles the Senko is the Havoc Flat Dawg. Awsome wiggle but very light and flimsy. I do not believe that a bass will see a Stick-O wiggle down in front of it and leave it alone and then nail a Senko all other things being equal like color, line etc. I fish them T-Rigged weightless 90% of the time and Wacky the rest. Everyone has their own opinion and just go with what works for you.
  4. I think it's way more than 1/2. Only times he's not on his pond is catfishing and Saltwater. I think he uses the Skipgap hook. Or at least days he does. I use VMC 3/0 EWG. Sure wish I had access to a pond like his.
  5. Use T.W. Better pricing and selection and you'd have it by now.
  6. Roger, we are not all lucky enough to live in Florida. EZ works pretty good here up north.
  7. Bluegill.
  8. Bubbles?
  9. Love these. 4/0 Gammy Superline is perfect hook. 5/0 too big. Wish these were made from Elaztech. Tail tears pretty easily. Won't find a more obnoxious frog/toad type bait and you can slow it down if they don't want all the commotion. Or trim the tail. A trick Big-O showed me.
  10. I like cork full grip handles. Seem to be becoming extinct though. Is cork more expensive? Sounds like cork has a slight advantage from this thread although it's only a small sampling. What do I know though, I still prefer rear wheel drive.
  11. Not sure about brands but one thing i've noticed is most use parabolic action rods. When they set the hook, even on smaller fish and when flipping, the rods are bent from tip to but. Maybe I'm seeing things.
  12. X2 on the Swimming Dinger. Also Havoc Beat Shad and Lunker City Swimmin Ribster. Give the Z-Man Project Z a try. Pricey but well worth it. Great colors, and super well made.
  13. After breaking 2 Booyah Moontalker spinnerbaits due to bending them back in shape after catching a few fish, I went to Amazon and bought some 1/2 oz. Terminator original single blade spinnerbaits. I put a #6 colorado blade on it and all I can say is WOW. Like reeling in a Buick and then all of the sudden it stops dead. All I use now. Terminators won't break and transmit more vibration than standard spinnerbaits and the #6 blade thumps like you wouldn't believe. Thank God Amazon had these as they are not made anymore. Pricey but should last forever.
  14. Mono - Trilene Big Game. A little thick per lb. but tough as nails and works well on spinning gear. Co-Polymer - Yo-Zuri Hybrid. My favorite all around line.
  15. Anyone ever get a good batch?
  16. Strike King 7" 3X and Havoc 6.5" Bottom Hopper. I seem to get more bites on the longer worms. Go figure.
  17. My sentiments exactly. The Culprit walks just like this one but it isn't the most weedless and the colors aren't that great. I have caught some nice fish on it though.
  18. Why would it be illegal or unethical. He called me at work and I work 5 minutes away. He asked the dept. manager and he didn't care. Walmart must have a different policy. Don't think you'd find Xcalibur baits at Walmart anyway but who knows.
  19. I fish frogs alot. Hollow body and toad type. I use a 7'6" medium action rod and 50 lb. braid. Can cast a mile and never had an issue with setting the hook. Totally agree you can wait too long. I watch the frog the entire retrieve every cast. If you get a hit you can see if the frog is gone or if the fish missed. If it's gone, I hit 'em and keep reeling. If the frog is still there, I wiggle it in place a little and then start the retrieve again. More times than not, they'll get it again. I used to use the "wait till you feel the fish" method but alot of times by the time you reel up and try to feel him, he's gone. Thats just my opinion based on my experience. You have to decide for yourself.
  20. Dick's had all their Xcalibur baits on clearance last fall. My son worked there and he put everything they had away and I bought about $250.00 worth of OneKnockers, XR50's, Squarebills and a couple of the Edwin Evers jerk baits (a rare find). Then we went to another close by Dick's and although it was largely picked over, still got a few more of each and they had the Zell Pops. I'm good for another ten years or so. If Booyah is going to sell them, they will probably be a tad less $$$.
  21. Yep. They make quite a rucuss and you can burn them or barely move them and anything in between. Comes in straight which some guys won't like because you can't bump into stuff but a well placed cast and some rod manipulation works just fine. I like the Persuaders. Bass Pro used to make a double buzzer that was awesome. Great for at night.
  22. If you can't find the Zinker Z but can find Strike King Zero's, get them. Same bait. Both ElazTech.
  23. I'm not sure Catt but I still have one of the original props he did invent and an adapter for an older M.K. motor. Cant remember what it is called but it had small blades. He is surely missed. Chief- Try going through solid milfoil and pads. I mean solid. That's what I run through, not just pads, which alone are relatively easy to get through. Both props on my M.G fouled within a foot or two. I think the difference is the Ninja and Hacker try to actually cut the weeds while the Wedge pushes them out of the way. I could be wrong though. Guys on my lake with M.G.'s stay out of the really thick stuff that I just plow through. I do get guys look at me like I'm nuts, which I am.
  24. I put my Maxxum on 100% and plow through the thickest junk out there. I usually stop and cast all around the boat and then hit the Maxxum and move about 2 casts away and repeat. Had a Motorguide and tried the Ninja (not very good), then the Hydrilla Hacker (believe it or not even worse), and exchanged the T.M. for a Maxxum. The Weedless Wedge prop is by far the best I have used. Bought an Endura transom mount for my son for use on our jonboat. Works pretty good also and works better if you mount it up front. Just my 2 cents.
  25. Trust me, there was nothing personal taken, just that this was turned into a discussion about glide vs swimbaits, not "I like the Giron because ___" or "I don't like the Giron because ___, maybe check out XXX bait". Big C had it right and like I said about a Corvette being a car but not a Ford but a Ford is still a car. Glidebait should probably be a sub-category of Swimbait like listed on T.W.'s site. Yes, nerds we all are. Too much time and $$$ to spend on this kind of stuff. Let's put this to bed and get on to something else.
