That's a definite for me but only if somebody will do that length plus girth thing for me...or we can just use scales.....and everybody knows what top water looks like.......don't they? Oh yeah I'm fishing Ma. Ct. and Vt. this year.....ok?
Rhino...hey Rhino...do you really care what anybody thinks? I bet the fellow you took fishing Sunday and the guy you will take fishing tomorrow both think you are ok.
Remember the part where I said I wasn't in total control of my life....Well I located the ramp just fine....The boat and all my equipment are running sweet....and then...and then....The phone call...My wife and I are babysitting until noon. You guys will be gone by then. Maybe next time.
On the other hand...I've been using 2 St.Croix Triumphs with 2000GT Okuma reels for my main rods for 4 years...trouble free and very light with enough backbone to catch 3 20# carp.
So I finally found my way down there...interesting directions...very nice ramp and parking lot...lots of parking...unfortunately today there was a 20-30 mph wind blowing down the pond and I was by myself so I didn't get to put in...but...the trailer towed well...Hoping for a better Sunday.
Ok...but...Conn.out of state $55 and Vt.out of state $45 that's still a lot of money. I must say that it seems to this old man that Vermont is the best deal. Plus I'm a little biased by Champlain.
Thanks for the info...sick of fishing the same places over and over...south coast is sounding better... also want to try Herring Pond down by the canal...I'll let you know if I ever get it done.
Spent a little time around Bridgeton...Long Lake, Moose Pond, Highland Lake...take 202 out of Portland...Lots a motels and places ta eat up thea...fishin's pretty good too...
