  1. Good job Jiggy, pm me for a ride. It's that time again. Tate and I are going out tomorrow. Grampa
  2. Couple of hours on Whitehall got 3 LMB, 10 pickerel, 3 sunfish, and 2 perch. The wife caught half and I caught half. Every fish was caught bouncing 3" sluggos off the bottom. Grampa
  3. Have the same situation in Mass, Timmy Tom's Baits makes an Alabama rig just for us from non-lead stuff. Three shorter arms which I've attached #5 willow leaf spinner blades and two longer arms for swimbaits.....pretty well balanced and effective. You can find them on line and I've no affiliation to them. Grampa
  4. Spent a couple of hours on Webster Lake today after the rain stopped...caught a 2.5 LMB with a Wiggle Wart in Crawdad, against a 5' drop off, casting parallel to shore and cranking very slowly...nice fish but the only Bass....3 Pickerel and a Rainbow Trout, rounded out the trip until the 15 mph west wind chased me off the lake. They are reluctantly, starting to bite. Today, slow and easy won the day. Grampa
  5. I've been using 4#Vanish on my buggy whips for the last 2-3 years with decent results, also use 20# for flipping and heavy spinnerbait leaders...pike don't bite thru it and my ultralites work just fine...at 4'6" they don't cast very far anyway though. For my needs...it's just fine. Grampa
  6. Mass is a tough record to come close to but.........I'll give it a whirl....
  7. Well it looks like the thoughts and prayers are working so far...we'll keep 'em coming and wish him the best. Grampa
  8. If you hold a 5" Watermelon red flake Senko over the side of the boat with your fingertips and just as the bass comes to the surface, move it quickly back into the boat....sometimes.....
  9. Appreciate the well wishes Jiggy and when the snow finally stops and the boats are all set, you are welcome any time.
  10. Maybe that's why they put rugs in Bass Boats......who knew?
  11. Nice going Jiggy...where were you?
  12. Ahhah!....Enjoy...
  13. I'm curious as to why you are in such a hurry to mount the transducer outside the boat. Both my transducers, the one that came with the boat and the one I installed, myself, are inside and out of harm's way. This was reasonably simple with a puddle of epoxy and a day to dry.
  14. I saw two Robins on Thursday morning....they looked lost.....probably frozen to death by now....
  15. What do you call a fish with no Eyes?...........Fsh........
  16. Sufferrin' Succotash.......What a revoltin' development this is........
  17. I'm still trying to get past all those naked Ducks......and did that cross dressing Bugs Bunny ever come out of the closet?
  18. Well then...If I found a pin in my Whopper...I probably wouldn't order another one for a while but I'm pretty sure that I'd give them another try. But am I smarter than a Bass?
  19. Quake'N Shake if memory serves...Bass Resources can get you a shirt just like that....right now. Look under "gear" and :Custom Tournament Jerseys". Some folks just like to 'belong'. Can we go fishing now...Please... Grampa
  20. I like to find it with GPS and fish it with Bouys.........that's what works for me. Grampa
  21. My PT recommended a Gizmo that straps around my forearm just in front of my casting elbow and has a hard bump which pushes into the muscle. It's saved me elbow pain for the last two years. I'm looking at it right now and it says"ezywrap" has no model# but a web address of www.ezywrap.com Like I said this thing stopped my "tennis elbow" so it might be worth a look. Grampa
  22. Went by Hopkinton Reservoir today...........East half open...West half iced over.....but.....the Trout truck was there so good luck to those trout fishers out there.
  23. If memory serves...and at my age"who knows"...Andover Academy has a "crew dock" about a mile up river. Is it rowing season again? If it is then they'll be putting lanes in Quinsigamond as well.
  24. Calm own Tom.....it's gonna be ok...it's gonna be ok.....
  25. Thanks for the heads-up je.....Darn good fishing in that stretch...brought Tate and Rhino up there last year and we were hoping for some good fishing this year as well.....I'd appreciate any news you might get....Perhaps I'll see you on the water..... Grampa
