  2. so im gonna be in orlando for a few days on the week of may 18. im gonna be at a westgate lakes resort 1 mile away from sea world, anyway... i wanted to do some fishing around the area but have never done so before. so i was wondering if there were (im sure there are) any people around here who are familiar with the area, and can give me a few good spots to fish, and what to use. im from south florida, so i do most of my fishing around here. but im still a local! so treat ur fellow floridian well!!! and share some good spots!!! thanks aaron!
  3. spiderman setups rock! heck i would get one for myself if they had an adult sized one!
  4. i was just curious as to what time do you all think it is right to start teaching a boy how to be a man (how to fish) haha. 3 sounds like a pretty good age for me! start him off on bluegill n stuff!
  5. anyone ever dared to try eating one of these? i live in south florida where they are abundant, but i am scared to eat them, they just look too pretty you know! anyone here had any luck with that? thanks!
  6. i have a 6 cylinder car, which does not come with a hitch. so my first step towards getting a boat will be installing a hitch on it. where can such job be done? and which kind of hitch will work for a small trailer (9-12ft)? there are so many different sizes and types, i dont know where to start! thanks to all who have provided me with answers. thers a lot of knowledgable people here thanks!
  7. not too long ago i posted a thread asking about a smal 10ft trailer. ive been searching for a couple of hours, and have had ZERO luck finding a trailer i am interested in that i can afford. so then the brilliant idea popped out in my head: "if you cant find it, built it" i know its far fetched... but how difficult can it be to buiild a trailer that can support a 10ft bass boat under 200lbs? can anyone provide me with a link, where i can get ideas and/or instructions on how to build a trailer? any help at this point can be usefull. THANKS MUCH! aaron
  8. hello everyone. i am looking into getting a small 9.4 Ft. Basstender boat. its a pretty light boat that is roughly 175lbs (with trolling motor) now, the prob is that i dont have a truck to load it on. i have a 6 cylinder car. what kind of trailer would i need to move it around? and how big should it be? approx how much does it cost (used)? im sorry about all the questions. i am VERY new to boating. and dont want to buy the wrong stuff. if there is anything else i should know... please advice me as well. THANKS!!!!
  9. so i just found out how lucky i am to be living in miami, where i have access to a ton of peacocks. the tragedy is that i dont know how to fish them too well... what lures (other than shiners) work well with peacocks? any advice here would be greats. thanks everyone!
  10. so im looking to get myself on some form of boat that will get me from point A to B on the water. nothing fancy, but something very basic, with a small trolling motor. im very new to all this and dont know much about where to start searching for one. are there any websites other than ebay and craigslist, in which owners can list their boats by location? any help that can lead me in the right direction to getting me a boat, is greatly appreciated. thanks
  11. HAHAHAHAHA i must admit that was pretty good. i know that method too, it works 99% of the time. ... just wondering if there was a more... natural? way of catching shiners.
  12. i was wondering what techniques are out there to catch live bait. i live in south florida, and i want to try fishing peacock bass with live shinners, and would like to catch my own bait. any tips? any videos explaining the process would be great to. thanks in advance!
  13. hello everyone, i am a new member, even though i have been around for a while learning from you all. anyway, i was wondering what your opinion on inflatable boats are. they seem really cool, and some seem very durable. tell me your experiences with them. thanks
