  1. All good fun guys. I just love a good BBQ and a great rub makes all the difference...along with the smoke, but that's another subject. I'm going to order some of the peanuts on my next order and give them a go too.
  2. I'm 59 years and have been searching for more years than I care to remember for THEE #1 rub. The search is over! I recently heard about "Butt Rub" on the Food Network and thought why not try one more. I tell ya folks, this stuff is "fantastic". I even put some on my eggs in the morning. Beef, Pork, and chicken. On wings? WOW it's better than anything I ever tried. I ordered the smallest amount 4oz just to try it and I know when this is gone I'll be ordering more. http://www.buttrub.com Let me know how ya like it if you give it a try...I love this stuff!!
  3. I like em all and especially the trout pattern.
  4. I love the first one...cute lil cranky. Awesome job on those for sure.
  5. Great job on those.
  6. Great job on those!!
  7. Ahhhh, paint jobe from the 60's...I remember the laced paint jobs especially one on a canary yellow 64 impala with black lace...what a heart throb. You could call that paint job WART.... ;D
  8. Great looking lure for sure. (some lure makers use eyes from taxidermy suppliers)
  9. Don't need the bottles but wondering if you knew Rob Lambert?
  10. Looks great and the 3D eyes really set it off.
  11. fishingdanderson, When I go for muskie, I fish Leesville or Piedmont. I truly believe there is a 50# monster in those waters or both...especially Leesville. I catch most of my musky on regular crank baits while fishing for bass. Throwing those big musky baits just plum wears me out.
  12. Looks great!!! Was watching OCC the other night and NUB was painting a gas tank for one of the choppers and after he painted a section, he put plastic wrap over the wet paint and indeed it did give a neat effect. I've yet to tr it, but may be fun to try on rods too.
  13. Thanks Eddie, but that site is for re-rod and home builders.
  14. I always do very well with tubes or bait fish.
  15. I'm new here also but welcome to a great looking site. My wife and I have been fishing buddies for 40 years. You're a lucky man also CJ.
  16. I remember we had a brand new 1957 Ford Fairlane hard top convertable. I think it cost like $1,800 brand new. OHHH, and the bass...any day I'd love to catch one a those.
  17. Those Cruising bass can be caught "ripping" rattle shad baits past their nose.
  18. Hey buddy, long time no see...I've been wondering about you and miss your monster fish pictures and your informative posts. Glad you are a-ok and still busting hawgs. Terry
  19. I'm looking for someone learning to build rods to build me a rod. I need a 6'10" rod for drop shotting and for jig (1/4oz)fishing for walleye. I'll be using 6 lb test line...8 lbs tops. I'd like a fast tip or extra fast tip and wood handle. shoot me a PM or email me with ROD in the subject line. (I say learning because I'm not going to knit pick it to death..I want to fish with it not frame it and look at it) ;D
  20. That looks GREAT!!!
  21. Your diagram is totally awesome, what software did you use to create that? You're right, seeing and using this set up is the key to better understanding it.
  22. I highly admire the craftsmanship of rod makers and your post was very informative. The biggest thing is "lesson learned". As in lure making or anything else in life, if we never made a mistake we'd never learn anything.
  23. It can be done if you got the patience to do it.
  24. If that is a "foiled bait", you'll find it 100% easier on flat sided lures. The wrinkles can be a nightmare :'( on round cranks. Practice painting on pieces of PVC pipe. It's cheap... that's what I use to experiment on for different color schemes instead of washing paint off a lure.
