After working for 3 weeks and not being able to get a single trip in i need to fish. I am free tuesday and wednesday all day if anyone wants to go out. i will go anywhere as long as there are fish! Matt

if you are more than confident about catching fish any time and anywhere why are you so desperate to find out everyone's sweet spot? :-?

if you don't want exact spots what do you want? I'm sure most people know all the bodies of water in this area if not most of them. Heck! google search "water in northern virginia" i'm sure you'll come up with everything including your neighbors bath tub! (which may or may not contain fish . . . pending neighbors habbits of course!)

Wow . . . I feel like I'm back in high school . . . Here's my outlook . . . If you have a spot fish it If there's someone new take them to a few places teach them the basics (or more) and let them get the experience and find THEIR own spots. I thought that was fishing not this whole "tell me where you get the big ones so i can feel special pulling one out of the water to!" kind of like shooting fish in a bucket huh?

hey meeting everyone in the area sounds good to me. I'm busy this weekend (celebrating my birthday) and most of next week but next weekend on sunday looks good if anyone is interested.

if there is a fish day or night i will be there! I really want to try night fishing haha. and last night i got off work around 11 and i was driving home and i considered going to braddock and cast out a bit, now i really wish i did! well some other time then. Matt

what kind of knot should i use for a spinner bait? I have a couple and I would like to use them but have no idea how to attach them . . . also does anyone know a good technique for using spinner baits? thanks! Matt

ok so i spend the morning at burke lake where i got no hits, accotink where i got yet again no hits and finally i just went to braddock lake which is at the end of my street and got 1 large mouth that was about 2 lbs and 9 inches long. am i doing something wrong? when i fished in MA (where i used to live) i had a spot where i'd catch 15 in a days fishing. any advice?

Maybe one day haha but right now its that for two reasons. 1. i couldn't think of anything else 2. my pole is a shakespear ugly stick

wow i had no idea that little old burke lake could produce like that! that lake is just at the end of my street! looks like i found a spot for my saturday morning!

Anyone going out this weekend? I hear saturday is going to be nice and I was curious if anyone would like to fish some lakes! I live near Lake Braddock High School and would love to go any where in the area where they're biting. Matt

alright! thanks for everything so far. i would love to go fishing with more experienced people. i guess what i'm looking for is a sort of fishing mentor. my uncle usually gives me advice and tips but he lives in MA and it's hard for him to show me stuff over the phone. anymore advice would be great! also if the weather is nice i would like to get out this weekend.

Ok so I am 20 years old and I love fishing and I have been doing it for a few years now but I have never really learned anything. I have never fished for anything specific anymore and I would like to change that. I would like to start fishing for small and large mouth Bass. I am also new to Northern VA so can someone take me under their wing and give me some pointers and maybe some locations?
