  1. I have look at vgif and it says somewhere in there that if the boat has never had a HIN due to age or homebuilt that they will issue one.
  2. I live here in VA, I bought a 1970 14' Sears Fiberglass boat from a farmer for 50 bucks. I got a bill of sale, but he said that he did'nt have a title. The boat also as far as I know has never been registered or title in this state. Also has no HIN on it. All I have is the model number from Sears. How do I go about getting a title for this thing or am I just screwed. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. I don't think they had HINs until 1973...please correct me if I am wrong
  3. you need at least 30 pounds of thrust, I have a 30 and a 42 bow mount on my 12 ft V-bottom and still need some more on a windy day. Better to have to much than not enough power
  4. I would say to just get a whole new wiring kit, or light kit, they don't cost much and it will take care of all your problems for a while, might want to consider a LED light setup, costs a little more but well worth it
  5. I would go with #1, I would stay clear of any inflatable, I had one and returned it within 2 days... also I found that Walmart is the cheapest place to get a deep cycle battery. I can run all day on mine just trolling around.
  6. My boat is a 1960 12' sea king V-bottom and I am trying to get some info on how to install flooring, Also this boat has a closed bow on it. I would like to remove it to open up some more room, but don't know if it is structural to the boat
