  1. In buying boats I have learned to take the boat to a shop before buying and have it checked. Its worth paying out 100-200 and not buy a broken down motor. I also do not do most of the maintenance. The motor is too expensive and I prefer to have a reliable do the work so if they do it wrong they will have to fix it.
  2. Nice fish there!
  3. I fished the 50lb 832 for the last week. I liked it better than any braid I've used so far. I'll be sticking with it for some time.
  4. Nicely done!! Congrats.
  5. Wow, Nice fish. Congrats.
  6. Same as the rest of the year. A jig.
  7. For a weighted hook I use the one I offer. It works excellent for fishing above grass or a flutter slow horizontal fall presentation.
  8. I'm not sure on the style collar Northstar uses but I changed my 1/4-1/2 heads to a barbed collar instead of a double round collar on the shank of the hook. This could possibly hold some of the 1/8 oz difference in size if Northstar uses the poison tail mold. I just checked both the poison tail head and my current head. They weigh almost exactly the same but my 3/8 head is just a shade bigger due to the smaller lead on the shank.
  9. I've been looking for a tube worth something. I'll have to pick some up.
  10. Thank you all for the information. I'll let you know how it goes!!
  11. Thank you Hooligan
  12. Will the rig stay down at a 1-2 mph troll?
  13. I'm going to be throwing/trolling a Yum A rig for the next week. All you guys that are fishing the A rig how do you get it down deep fast and hold? My thought is to use a big bullet weight on the line with jig heads on the A-Rig. I need to get the thing down to 25-30 FOW and hold there as long as possible.
  14. Mike, if she does get a handgun/shotgun please get her some training on it. I would hate to hear of an accident. I would go with a shotgun. Best home defense firearm out there.
  15. It works and can work very good at times.
  16. Still too small of a picture.
  17. I really need a better picture to tell for sure. Those are way too small to see the detail of the head.
  18. Yep. And it will eventually break.
  19. Looks like an arky. Pics are pretty small.
  20. Now thats funny
  21. Has anyone fished for stripers on Beaver Lake in the last few days? I'll be heading there this Friday to attempt to catch a few. Right now the few reports I've read say they are mostly holding at 35-40 fow. I've have an Arig tied up and a spoon. I'm looking for any help.
  22. We are getting close here. Some fish have started pulling shallower but most are still deep. In the last 5 days our water temp went from about 85 deg to 74. We should start seeing the transition in the next week with these cool rains and cooler temps ahead.
  23. Some good fish there!
  24. Nice fish but I seriously laughed at that last one.
  25. Good bass!! Frog fishing is one of my favorites when they are on them!
