  1. Awesome. Congrats to both of you.
  2. I use to years ago but no longer do it. Anymore I add Mega Strike to the bait when being fished when I use a scent.
  3. I try to always take the plastics off. I haven't found a hook yet that wont rust eventually. Any plated hook will take longer then a non plated hook. Like others said some hooks take a lot longer then others and it is very dependent on baits. For example a senko. It will eat any hook out there that I've found.
  4. Rubber T stop is one of the best ways.
  5. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We have just released the Dock Rocker jig. There are 3 versions available. The Grid Iron Dock Rocker is built with an Owner XXX strong jig hook, the Dredge Dock Rocker with the Owner Deep Throat hook and the Dock Rocker with a Mustad Ultra Point hook. I have also changed the Grid Iron Package to 5 jigs similar to the Dredge Pack. Colors are Blue Bug, June Bug, Bama Craw, Okeechobee, PBJ. http://siebertoutdoors.com/Grid-Iron-Jig_c28.htm Some info on them: The Dock Rocker is an excellant all around jig. This is a great jig to fish in just about any condition. From light weeds, to rock, to heavy brush its a great all around fish catching machine. Where the Dock Rocker really shines is it skips easily under docks or trees. The paint is a powder coat that is heat cured for an extremely durable finish. The weedgaurd has fewer strands then our arky heads for a more finesse or lighter approach. The skirt is made from approximately 55 strands which you can choose if you want it wire tied for long lasting durability, banded for easy changeability, or rattle banded for extra noise for those murky water conditions. Thank you
  6. Are you talking about a scuba drysuit? I've always joked about taking mine trout fishing in the winter.
  7. One of my big questions is why do the motor companies not update their hoses and gaskets to ethanol proof materials. I do not know of a single place in my area that sells ethanol free fuel.
  8. Awesome catch. Congrats
  9. Nice catching.
  10. Wow what a turn out. Thank you all for your submissions. We had a tough time picking a name with so many great ideas. The winner is Poisonokie with Dock Rocker. We will be adding the Dock Rocker this week. To answer the question on what is the difference between them. The Dock Rocker has a little more of a tear drop head and a lighter weed guard. I have had quite a few inquiries on making a lighter guard Arky style head and this jig fits perfectly. I've been fishing this head for awhile and it skips easily. This head can be skipped under docks like an Arky. Not to mention the ease it fishes in rocks and lay downs. Thank you all again for your participation . Mike
  11. One more day to take advantage of the savings.
  12. I'm having a hard time naming this jig/jighead. I have come up with pitch'n skip but I need more ideas. So from now until Sunday 7:00 pm throw out some ideas and the winner will get a few of them free. This is a modified arky head with a 1/8" weedguard. Hooks that will be available are Owner XXX strong, Deep Throat and Mustad Ultra point. Weights will be 1/4-1/2 oz. This jig fishes awesome in just about anything.
  13. I've added a bunch more Rage Tail in inventory and also added the Rage Craw in Roadkill and Blue Sapphire.
  14. I'm 90% sure on the KY lake trip.
  15. My favorite rod I own is a GLX JWR 854. Best jig rod I've ever used.
  16. I can pour you a weighted hook like that with a Mustad Ultra point hook in it. http://siebertoutdoors.com/Weighted-Screw-Lock-Hook-5-pk-437.htm
  17. Those are a 55 strand silicone skirt.
  18. From now until the end of August we are having a huge sale. Items on sale are below. Mega Strike Rage Tail Strike King Keitech SOS Crankbait SO Shirts Owner MattLures
  19. Hey Wolfie, The arky or brush will perform the best out of the heads in the Dredge series. Silicone and rubber act completely different. Just a different profile and reaction under water. Both have their place and time. I do not fish many all rubber jigs but I do fish Mata jigs. The mix of rubber and silicone give off a nice movement and is bulky.
  20. Lately the 3 are Bama Craw Grid Iron jig Extreme Shaky head 1/4 Green Pumpkin with a Rage Menace Green pumpkin purple gold Texas rigged Structure bug in bama craw
  21. Awesome catching!
  22. This year I'd have to say a Jig and a shaky head.
