  1. I am going to side with Roger on this very touchy issue. Its just not the pwc and big boats. Yes they can be annoying to someone fishing. My issues are on boat driver safety, judgement, control, and fundementals of boat driving. Doesnt matter what kind of boat you are in just use some curtousey and common sense. A big scarab running next to a 20' bass boat by a dock is going to get swamped and push the boat up on the dock. been there done that too many times. A boat going south and a little left heading towards a boat going north a little to the right doesnt turn left in front of the guy heading south a little to the left he turns right instead of cutting in front of him. Some of the lakes around here like kinkaid or Lake of the ozarks have speed limits permenant or during night on them.
  2. If you make your own lures or rods lets post some pics. Here are a few of my latest
  3. IMO flourocarbon line is a must for DS. I use to use a 6'6" rod but now have a 7' rod and it works alot better. Weights I use is mostly 1/8-3-8. Line sizes I use 6-8lb
  4. How do you guys keep your lower unit from freezing in the winter fishing months?
  5. LOL RW. so true. Awsome fish and i can sense your excitement in your post.
  6. One of the places I fish alot has 3 lakes on it. Most of the time I switch lakes because of a scenery change. In the winter months I fish the clear lake most of the time, spring the stained weedless one or the murkey weedy one. Its more of a decision based on the day or sometimes I will fish 2 of them. So most of the time its 3 lakes
  7. oops sorry bout that. Here is the link I ment to post its the TX version. I cant find a 1/16 and I dont know if it accepts wide gaps http://www.do-itmolds.com/products/jigmolds.php?UID=200601280854064.245.76.238&category=tapered_tube_skirt_jig

  10. Here is the larva from do it molds but it doesnt have the 90 deg hook. http://www.do-itmolds.com/products/jigmolds.php?UID=2006012712551612.145.230.171&category=larva_jig You got me stumped on this one. :-[
  11. Sorry bud, I cant find one of those anywhere all I can find is ones like the middle. That is probably custom. I'll check some more and if I find one post it.
  12. Ok guys, give me some info on how you handle fronts and pressure changes before and while fishing.
  13. I agree with LBH. But also I would rather be the guy that catches 30 fish that weighs 2-3 lbs instead of the guy that catches 4 fish that weigh 4 lbs. Drastic numbers yeah but I think it shows my reasoning more.
  14. No problem, any time. I am the jig accesory finding machine. I have spent countless hrs looking around for different hooks and accesories for making jigs. I know barlows has them too but their site isnt working on that perticular page.
  15. I can remember when I was about 5 is when my grandfather took me. Now I take him as much as possible.
  16. Try this one I think I found them. There is a light wire and a heavy wire one. I have used these before and they are great hook http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/gamakatsu-flipping-jig-hooks/
  17. Here ya go http://www.staminainc.com/hooks/mustad/mus91768hook.html
  18. Check these guys out. http://www.barlowstackle.com/fishing-hooks-heavy-duty-jig.html Or these guys http://www.staminainc.com/hooks.html From your earlier post of how many you lose you may want to check out Mustad needle point hooks they tend to be quite a bit cheaper and work as good or if not better imo. I switched over to them because of the cost of gammies.
  19. Try this web page it might be what your looking for.http://www.staminainc.com/tips.html
  20. These companies should have everything you need Barlows tackle Stamina tackle Janns net craft
  21. I poor outside and dont get molten lead close to water. Kaboom it will go.
  22. around here a 2lber is about 16" on average. 1.5 is about 15" approx. Most of the tourneys here 10lbs will usually get you in the top 10 but thats about it. Springtime 10lbs might get you in the top 20.
  23. awsome job. Looks great
