  1. I'm afraid of lipping little fish. Reason is Roadwarrior will make fun of me for bringing small fish to the boat.. Lipping big fish is easy. Like LBH posted there is nothing to worry about. After a few times it will become routine and you wont even think about it. The scuff marks they leave on your thumb is proof that you caught fish and not in a lie.
  2. Most of us have good stories created while bass fishing so I thought i would share some. 1. Few years ago I was trolling around fishing for cruising fish in the shallows. Catching good fish and in good quantities. All the sudden the boat got sucked onto a shallow sand bar thinking how do I get off this thing. I tried the motor, tried the paddle, tried the rocking boat deal. Well hmmm, I guess I'm going in. I didnt want my shoes and pants wet for the rest of the day and I was left with only one alternative. Strip down to my skivies and go in. Good thing I have good luck and the spot I was stuck on was alot deeper then were the boat was stuck. So here i am standing out in the lake in my skivies trying to unlodge my boat. 2. Fishing at lake of the ozarks early march. Extremely windy that day Note trolling motor on high. Nearly impossible to keep the boat in line and fish. I was pitching around docks not catching anything and all the sudden my buddy says hey I'm hung on the dock. I ask what are you throwing. Response "a little hair jig" Me break it off its not worth the effort or risk. Him "its my last one." Me. all right I will go and get it. So I proceed to the dock where he was hung up at. He decides its a good idea to come up to the front with nothing to hold on to. As soon as he gets right next to me the trolling motor kicks to the side from the gale force winds and over he goes into the water. It was hilarious but worrysome because of the cold water. It was in the water for about 3-5 seconds. Almost like he hit a trampoline. It was so quick that his wallet in his back pocket barely got wet. 3. My favorite and I still laugh about this one everytime I think about it and post it. My buddy, his brother and I were fishing at a strip pit in illinois. Buddy and I were catching alot of fish and his brother was giving it his best. We decided to stop and eat so we did. Just floating around and munching on PB&J. After we are done I notice a brush pile close to us and think to myself thats were we will go and fish around. At the same time his brother jumps up and yells I'm getting the first cast at that tree and bolts toward the front of the boat. He made it 2 steps and tripped over his tackle box and flew out of the boat like superman not hitting anything. My buddy yells "Hold on to that rod and dont let it go". I'm just dying laughing and so is my buddy. All the sudden the rod come back in the boat and he say's "I need some help back in with his head and arms struggling to hold on the top of the boat. Thats just a few of my great times in my boat. Happy Friday.
  3. When your out fishing what is the #1 thing that will make you break your concentration. For me it would be hunger. I can look past every thing else except being hungry.

  9. that was great setup Leige Pujols 2 outs, 2 strikes, and down by 1 Pujols wins wooohooo. Good thing he is on our team.
  10. FBL, the docks you are fishing, do they have cables that go through the water. Most of the docks I fish do. Throwing a quick moving bait, spinnerbait, crank would never work unless its on the outside of the dock. Most of my fish come from flippin farther under the dock at better ambush points. This is the reason I said jig/senko. Not only because its 2 of the best lures but the fish just cant pass them up when you skip them onto the door mat.
  11. 25 50 thats not alot of difference in met years. cub years are even worse ;D
  12. we can give you izzy and that wont happen. ;D Yeah muddy you might have that devision secured. Only took 50 years but you finally did it.
  13. another question for you guys. What do you consider deep fishing using your usual routine and on your lakes you fish? Reason for asking is people ask fishing deep questions but when I think deep where I fish its 30+ ft. Some of you guys might be 10+ or 100ft+. I consider deep is over 30ft. Most places I fish dont get this deep. My main target area is usually 10-15 ft. Of course that can change depending on season or fish locations.

  17. Working on my house. Its killing me. I havent fished this month if I remember correctly. Days are running together and nothing else is getting accomplised. I have a list of stuff to do as long as a kids christmas list. Bad thing is I have a GLX BCR rod I need to go get and I havent even had time to do that. :-/ I've been so busy that I dont even know how the cards are doing. They could have fallen out of 1st and I wouldnt even know.

  19. It should be mandatory for all of the Mods to be in this. I would love to see a skunk pic of one of the mods. That would just make my whole day alot better.
  20. Haahaa, I caught about 500-750 fish last time I went fishing in about 1hr. Oh btw I have a cast net and they were all 1.5-3.5" long. ;D
  21. I just signed up again. Willing and ready to roll.
  22. I hear alot of guys talk about red baits. I have a hard time catching fish off red. I jumped into the red rage years ago and baught traps, lizards, etc. Yeah I still fish the same natural colors. Some reason in MO. I just cant catch fish off red. If I throw a craw or shad crank I will catch them, red nope nada. Most of the lures I throw are natural occurring colors Greens, browns, whites, blacks, blues Those are the colors I prefer, maybe because of my style of fishing. Its just what I have the most confidence in and I know when I fish they will work.
  23. One question, I cant tell from the pic. Is that painted or wrapped like that. Really either way it takes alot of ability to do that. Just wondering.
  24. Thats a sweet looking rod RM.
