  1. a curado 200 and a st croix premier for 100 bucks. Rod and reel didnt look used but maybe 1-2 times. Turned it for about 200 bucks.
  2. Sounds like you got that. I had this happen to me. I asked the boater to please give me some water to fish. He didnt. So I casted up towards the front of the boat and fished like that. The guy in the front casted and hooked my line and backlashed his reel beyond repair. It didnt go over well but from then on I didnt have a problem. I dont recommend that, but its what I did. I would point out the rule to the boater that JT posted.
  3. yes, works great. make sure you seperate colors or they might bleed together even if you dont soak them in scent.

  5. BTW, no one mentioned it but crawdads flee backwards. Not to sound smart, but reason bass attack from the top typically more of a 45 deg angle or attacks from behind, because the way they inhale the food. Cant really be done from the side and obviously the bottom. feeding on prey on the bottom the easiest route is typically from the top. This spring, pitch into a spawning bass bed with a jig or tube. Watch and observe the way the fish picks up the lure, dont worry about catching the fish just watch and learn. Typicaly the tail comes up and zip your lure disappears once the gills flare out. Almost every bass I have whitnesed eat from the bottom has done it this way. Here is a video of a bass eating. Watch the gills. This is the only video I know of that shows this so I appologise since its a sales website. Pay attention to how the fish inhales and the gills. http://www.joesjigtrailers.com/shakit.htm
  6. Natural, that spinnerbait looks alot like one I have. 8-) works great too. RW, LBH is taking all his tackle why dont you. ;D So many lures, So little space.
  7. Chris, was a tough one. Chris makes it all. I mailed him out a bunch of hand made jigs the other day. He might even get them today. I shipped him my favorite colors, along with some shakey heads that I made up too. Hope he likes them and wins some tourneys off them.
  8. awsome bait Mike.
  9. The line needs to be coiled the same as it is on the line spool. Top of the line spool to top of the reel spool. I typically use backing so I dont waste as much line. Especially on deep spooled reels. On a trip like you are going on. I wouldnt do it. Just fill the whole spool up.
  10. Yeah but did you guys know that he keeps all his posts in a file on his desktop and just cuts and pastes his responses. BTW its calais KU Yozuri 4lb too. Dont forget that one. Light line is better then heavy line. Doesnt fish for spawning fish Not a bank beater. Dont forget the budweiser!!!!! So how much trouble are we going to be in for teasing a MOD. ;D Yeah Muddy, RW is cool, what I like is how out spoken he is. He holds nothing back and tells what he thinks. No sugar coating.
  11. Gotta agree, IDIOTS. Same as using that drug crap like meth(big around here), crack, etc. Just stupid. If I got hit by a drunk driver and was ok, I would probably not beable to control my rage. I dont get mad about much and usually very easy going. But this is one thing that puts me in nuclear mode.
  12. Havent made a cast yet. Got hard water syndrome.
  13. shad color for clear water and a chartreuse color for stained/muddy water
  14. Welcome aboard. Awsome looking cranks. Thats one thing I havent ventured into yet. One of these days I probably will.
  15. Mine would be a bandit 300
  16. I check the first 10 ft or so of line for wear then tie on my lures before fishing. Thats the portion that gets the most wear. I dont retie after every fish but I do check the knot and line for wear. After every 10-20 casts I run my fingers down about 2 ft of line and check it for wear. I pitch alot so when the lure is on the way back to me I grab the line and run my fingers down to the lure. If I dont feel any wear I pitch it back out. Its fast and works great.
  17. It will always go down tail first. Look at the way the curves are on a craw. Same as a fish. a fish will always go down head first or the spines will stick out and kill the fish. Just an act of nature. The fish may eat it head or tail first, maybe by the side. But like said it will always go down tail first. The path of least resistance.
  18. Natural and Raul, thats it. I am disappointed Raul, can I have that bin with the rapalas in it? Its taking up to much space in your vet building.
  19. Wouldnt he need Moonscreen for that. That full moon can be harsh on the skin. You ever had a moon burn. Wow its painful. I'm going to market that and have him advertise it. I think I will ship free dvd rewinders with it. BTW The linders have the best show going IMO.
  20. Two guys are fishing in a boat under a bridge. One looks up and sees a funeral procession starting across the bridge. He stands up, takes off his cap and bows his head. The procession crosses the bridge and the man puts on his cap, picks up his rod and reel and continues fishing. The other guy says, "That was touching. I didn't know you had it in you." The first guy responds, "Well, I guess it was the thing to do - after all, I was married to her for 40 years.
  21. I went through the same pain in high school. Every month or so you go back and get new bands and tightening. Ohhh the pain I lived through for 2 years. It sucked big time. With that said it was well worth the 2 year sacrifice. Now my teeth are all aligned, white (because of maitenance)and in great shape. Like said above take care of them now and latter you will be better off. Side note. Just remember I dont mean this to be ignorant, but if someone teases you about them they havent had braces and probably have poor teeth. Atleast around here thats the way it was. I dont see anyone who has ever had them be teased by someone who went through the same thing. You are one of the lucky people to bea ble to get them and reap the benifits. BTW the ladies like nice teeth.
  22. Just down to the local bar. Its only about 5 min away. Walking distance if its warm out. I can wait until I get there to use the restroom. I'm not old enough for depends yet.
  23. I wasnt either but you are right. The little george is simple and dynomite for whites. I have a couple local ponds I fish with that type of stuff because the majority of the fish arent big but its fun to just catch a bunch sometimes on ultra light gear. There is also another pond I fish with musky spinners. But the bass are big. There are more little lures like that but my mind isnt working this morning.
  24. I understand your rant. Thats why I quit watching these shows because of this constant advertising. There are a few that I still like but I got better things to do.
  25. Yep, its in my infisherman january mag. Its under the float and fly techniques. I need to read the mag. Good thing I brought it to work. I've never used anything like that. I can see it being a better stream technique then lake. JMO.
