When you fly in to pick it up we can go fishing at the local fishin hole. Some sweet lookin cars dude. I had a lambo once but didnt go fast and the batteries ran out pretty quick.

  10. I'm looking for one of these to carry with me. I want to start keeping more detailed notes. Well actual notes on my fishing expeditions. I dont want one that hooks to a boat because I dont always fish out of one or the same one. My ? is does anyone make a decent one for pretty cheap.

  13. Man that sucks LBH. I picked up a part time job for awhile at a fishing/hunting store. If you come to this area I've got a some extra space in my house. Just bring your fishing stuff. Nothing fancy at all but ist a roof over my head.

  17. I dont mess with trimming or spreading. I tie on the jig and start fishing.
  18. THis is odd, my buddy and I talked about this just the other day. Same exact rod. I'd go straight with the IMX. Just before doing anything make sure it all fits right and is done properly the way you like it. Remember I dont know anything about building rods except reading posts. But thats what my opinion is.
  19. I got some with him right now. I'm afraid once I get them back I'm going to have to send the rest of them to him. I should have them back pretty soon he finished them up today. I cant wait to get them back and take them for a spin.
  20. I mostly put them on with the completely flat part down. Reason is because of the way I typically rig them. It really doesnt matter I dont think
  21. Yup, I look at a purchase like this as an investment. Its not something you buy everyday unless your Raul. IMO a GLX is something that you will have to take care of. Its not a knock around rod. If your good to it it will be good to you. This is how I look at purchases like this. If I buy quality once I dont have to rebuy things over and over. I dont belive in upgrading in most aspects. I just save up and buy it the first time around. Cheaper in the long run.
  22. now I know why people say I'm full of poop. I drink about a gallon of water a day. I'm switching to budweiser.
  23. couple things I see. 1. if the line is just falling off in chunks at a time you have too much line on the spool. Which it does look like from the pic 2. If you have a boat, cut the lure off and let about 50-75 yds drag behind the boat (at idle) in the water. This will remove all the twists in the line. Dont let it get caught in the motor. This will fix all your problems 3. Dont crank the handle to close the bail. Use your hand to flip it over and pull the line tight before reeling. I believe every time you crank the bail closed its like 1/2-1 twist. Over time it will build and loop on you. Follow those 3 steps and you shouldnt have a problem.
  24. its from cost. Most fishermen wont spend over $5 for a lure. You have to keep the cost down some how and hooks are one of the easiest. I bought a 20 dollar split ring plier to change these things out. I just take a side cutter and cut the split ring off and trash the whole deal. Replace with good split ring and hook.
