  1. I do a similiar thing. Mostly use the original packaging in a ziploc but I break them down by 1. style/type 2. length
  2. I have one but dont use it much. Its a Browning gold 3" stalker with a rifled slug barrel. I have a nikon prostaff scope on it. Ammo used Federal hydra shock 12ga 2 3/4". Shoot'em tight like a rifle at 100 yds.
  3. Ditto that. I just like military weapons and craft. Especially the older ones. I've always been intriqued by them and their development. BTW the History Channel rocks. I wish they would get off this Ice Road truckers kick. I mostly just enjoy studying History.
  4. Yeah tubes never used them dont recommend them. : Junk tubes from earthworm77??? Yeah only if you want dinks like RW's avatar. 8-) Tubes rock and Earthworm's El gordo tube is sweeeeeet.
  5. 0-3 feet, clear water, heavy vegetation manns minus series 3-6 feet, clear to muddy water, sparse to medium vegetation/wood bandit 100-200 6-12 feet, clear to muddy, rocky bandit 200-300. I prefer 300 in this type of water with 10lb line you want that bait bumping in the rocks. If the bill isnt getting chewed up your not fishing it right. 12-18 clear, rocky bandit 300 to dd22 same theory as above if you fish the deeper divers in shallow water vary the retrieve speed so the bait bumps the bottom and change your rod angle to cause the bait do stay shallower. Fish the crank slow enough to stay in contact with the bottom is how I've always had the best results. BTW line size will vary action and depth of the bait. thats pretty much the majority of what I use. I'm gettin into some custom wood baits an love them.
  6. We finally have a good topic on the forum. Once I saw that pic I was like- What thats a rip off the scar. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_SCAR I've shot the scar light 5.56 and scar heavy 7.62. Freaking sweet. The scar light has very low recoil on full auto. With practice its very controlable. The scar heavy has much greater recoil and really full auto is only for the experienced. After the second round the muzzle jumps too far up for most people. RW, those types of firearms will bring that. A classic design like a Sprinfield M1 is about that for a standard gun. M4 to standard AR range from 900-1200 for the decent ones. Lewis Machine has some that approach 2k. Here is a sweet gun. Run ya about 2k and a class III license http://www.fnhusa.com/products/firearms/model.asp?fid=FNF013&gid=FNG007&mid=FNM0037
  7. The baitmonkey. ;D LBH, anytime. Just come on down. The only rule is you have to have fun. I cant post where or every one on the board will be there and crowd the honey hole.
  8. Just like it says. I will take you to one of the places I fish. The only catch is you have to dig a hole for me. I hate digging. The hole will be about 2' wide by 4-5 feet deep. :
  9. Thanks Crankin Chris. 8-)
  10. NJ, That double wide is the biggest I know of at the time. I've been searching alot and cant find a big chunk bigger then that. I've been looking for over a year now. I fish a perticular lake that you can slaughter fish on big chunks of plastics but big worms and swimbaits dont really produce. This winter I thing I'm going to make my own. If someone knows of one big chunk please help us out.
  11. Someone on here has said this before. It might even be in their signature. Its my favorite. I believe 5bl had a post awhile back that should have went into a post hall of fame but I can not locate it anymore.
  12. I've got several knives. SOG is my favorite by far. I bought a Seal Pup years ago. The thing is freaking awsome. Holds a razor edge, light, and has great balance. Dont know if your a hunter or not but mine has seen the test of time and animals. Best knife I've ever used.
  13. I probably need to reword my post. I got in a hurry. I was thinking of using a modified DS for suspenidng jerkbaits as a cast and slow retrieve. with the ds and a tight line the lure would always stay at one depth unless the contour changed. The only problem I can for see is the weight getting tangled in the hooks. Whats you guys thoughts on this?
  14. I was just pondering around the idea of dropshotting a rogue. Anyone do this with sucess?
  15. that sucks avid. Good that your ok.
  16. ooooooh Me likes the craw one.
  17. That is a good question. This is where good equipment and experience come into play. Its all about feel. This is going to sound stupid but you have to become the lure. Staying in contact with the lure is key. BTW flourecent line and a black light help alot if you have one. I have only fished with one a couple times. it makes it alot easier to fish at night.
  18. Yeah what were they thinking of going against the Colts. Thats as bad as going with a pflueger instead of a shimano
  19. x points are awsome. Best hook I've ever used. Keep an eye out in the for sale on here. I'm going to have a fall cleaning sale, I need some shelf space in the basement.
  20. Need anyone to go with you. I can make a mean PBJ sandwich. : Good luck dude.
  21. Pretty close. I guess I gave the Saint's offense too much credit. : so true.
  22. well, Finally got to fish monday. Pretty slow day over all. I first started out with no scent on a hand poured beaver and a homemade jig. It was slow. Few little ones here and there. Started using the megastrike and I started to catch more fish. It wasnt a ton more but my numbers did increase. Same lures, same area the only thing changed was adding the megastrike. I like it slot so far. I also got to take out my custom Big M cranks. For some reason I didnt take a pic of fish off the firetiger one but I did of the craw. Thiis bait is awsome. he isnt big by any means but the only pic I took Here is a bass around 4.5lbs off a hand poured beaver and megastrike I lost a toad. :'( I've caught alot of 5+6's and a few 7's but this fish put all of them to shame. It was barely hooked in the mouth. Pulled my little boat around for about five minutes and swam right next to it. I saw the hook barely in the fish and thought once she jumps its all over. Well thats what happened. I just wanted to cry after that. :'(
  23. I've always used pam spray. Works great, cheap and easy. The polyurethane I dont think will hold up very long. Your better off with epoxy. great demo
  24. I've been doing little cheaper things to help but I've pretty much done all of those. Now I'm at windows and doors and obviously attic insulation. Good to hear how much your saving.
  25. Nope I wasnt being sarcastic. I've been doing alot of research and for my area I need a R49 I believe. I will have to look again. It came out to about 15" of insulation and I only have about 4 :. I wish there was a way to do the walls but it wouldnt be cost effective. It would meen new siding or drywall. sending pm Thanks guys
