  1. After watching him fish in Caifornia, I beg to differ. Haaahaa, I guess it wasnt a pretty sight. Details please!!!! ;D
  2. haahaa, good one.
  3. I always forget about that one but it is really good stuff. So is KG brand products.
  4. LOL Dont even get me started on WD40. : I've even seen guns lubricated with birchwood casey tru-oil. Why's my gun smell like stain?
  5. Well guys, I'll get working on this. Just take me some time. Hopefully I will be done by sunday night.
  6. couldnt agree more. Could you help me understand this: Why's it always the guns fault? Just couldnt understand that one. My favorite 3 things to ask people is Is your gun clean What ammo you shooting Are you using rem oil I know I dont always get an honest answer on the first one but the other 2 I usually do. I'd venture to say most come down to #3. Just a trend I have noticed especially when its cold outside.
  7. I dont typically bash products, but on this one I'm just going to come out and say it. This stuff is horrible. in the last 3 days I have seen 5 guns gummed up from this crap. The oil has turned to a sticky sludge. To the point of being able to cycle the gun is difficult. Some of them are pumps some are simis. Various brands of guns, rifles and shotguns. The auto's the guns bolt would slowly cycle forward and not fully close causing misfires, the pumps would just be difficult to pump and they would stick. Then cleaning the residue off is a pain in the rear. I know part of this is a routine maitenance issues but please take my word and a few others words. Look at the FP-10 oil, Millitec, and a few others. You will lead a happier hunting season especially if its cold outside. Thank you and have a nice day.
  8. Excellent advice! x2 What exactly is defective?
  9. Has anyone asked Doug Hannon on this? Just see his opinion.
  10. those are great. I'm glad we have brilliant lawyers.
  11. Very nice indeed. Great work Big M
  12. I've noticed 2 questions on how to make jigs, paint, etc. How big of a hurry are you guys in? What if I make a donation to the board of a how too from making the jig head, painting, the skirt, etc. I will start from scratch to a complete finished product. Would there be enough interest in this for me to spend the time to do it?
  13. I really like that idea. maybe we can work something out with the mods/Glenn on this. Maybe something as simple as a stickie. Real nice baits
  14. Good to hear everyone is ok. I hope they catch the crack head and lock him up for a long time.
  15. good info I'll give it a shot.
  16. Bobby, thanks for the time in posting. I agree with you on the taste and getting the fish to hold onto the bait a little longer. I like proven facts. Does Berkley have anything published on their findings or is it confidential.
  17. Try Bobby, Megastike JBC outfitters Harshman Earthworm77 dampeoples If I can find some more I'll let you know.
  18. Harshman, If your paint is getting real thick you probably have moisture in it. I had this problem with some watermelon and black. my 2 worst colors to deal with. I just left them open for awhile and ran them through the fluid bed allowing the air to mix and draw out the moisture. Fixed the problem. Making sure you have a good air flow and powdery loose powder is critical too. Otherwise the paint will glob. With the right combination you should just have a very thin layer of paint. With bigger hooks you can just leave the powder coat on their because they wont clog up. FC, it wont hurt them. I've done alot of hooks and never had a problem. alot of your jig companies use powder coat. Its durable, easy, and doesnt have a stinch like vinyl paint. Here is a link to a bunch of colors. http://www.barlowstackle.com/acb/showprod.cfm?&DID=6&CATID=58&ObjectGroup_ID=175 Like the other guys said make sure you clean the eyes before coating. Also make sure your powder is well stirred or it will get gloppy and when you clean your eyes you will chip the paint off the sides on some types of heads. #2 Spike it. its the brightest I've seen
  19. Save your money on the books for bass jigs. Its not difficult at all. Very simple. You can learn everything you need to know from here and Tackleunderground. Any questions on jigs I will be more then willing to help. As for the hydrosilk. Never seen it but on earthworm77's site. Its one thing I can not find. Do it molds are probably the best for the money. Shawncollins makes good ones from everyones recommendations (I've never used him) but custom are usually $$. Do its are about 30 bucks. As far as material. Almost everything I get now comes from Barlows. Some comes from Janns and stamina.
  20. I resemble that remark. Yes, he is right.
  21. I'm sorry dude, but I dont think the boys will win this one. I really dislike the Pats but unfortunately I think they are going to win. I'll bet a hand poured drop shot worm 4.5" on it. : I forgot the score 34-27 Patriots win. Boooo but I think thats the way it will go. As much as I dislike Brady he is a good QB.
  22. Yep, all that does is make you depressed. Some need to be more positive and have some fun. Sounds stupid but I bet you will feel better. BTW, They think I finally went crazy here. LOL WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  23. Want to hear a funny one. My mom was at BPS once, standing on one of those bridges looking at the fish below. Phone rang and she started digging it out of her purse. Well guess what. Plop, right down with the fish. She had to have a bps employee get it for her. When she told me that I just couldnt refrain from laughing. I've had the same phone for a few years. Some reason I cant lose it. its old and crappy but it still works.
  24. I've been thinking about this topic all morning and how to reply. Here is my biggest complaint and has been really getting on my nerves lately. Happens alot on all boards not just this one, and yes I am guilty of this one too. Sarcastic remarks, I believe are causing this aggrevation between senior members. As I said I've done it too but I guess I have started to refrain more and have been getting aggrevated more with them. These remarks are thread killers and some topics have been good and real informative until a sarcastic remark. Then its all down hill. Is there a time and place for some fun with sarcastic remarks? yes but keeping it in the everything else would be nice.
  25. Isnt that a risk of the job? So I guess a firefighter could sue if he gets burned, a emt could sue if they fall carrying someone? Where does it end. I guess its a relie on no one and dont trust anyone. Gotta fly solo so no one sue's you. I don't understand!! pretty sad if you ask me. They should fire her for being incompetent as a police officer.
