I wont keep any but there will be a bunch of sore mouths. ;D Probably mine. I've never fished Erie but I'd start with tubes, spinnersbaits, and a trap. If I cant catch a May smallie on that I'd probably just go home.

FBL pretty much summed it up. If your wanting the best of the best go with the GLX. I will warn you though. Once you fish a rod like a GLX and you switch to a lesser rod you will not like it anymore.

I do believe those two heads are patented. You will be hard pressed to find an identical head.

If you guys were to pick a couple colors to throw cranks at these guys what would it be? I'm headed up there this spring for some smallie action and starting to get everything lined out.

How many of you guys whip down your hull after fishing? What do you use? Also when you clean the hull wash/wax, what products do you use?

my google is jacked up too. I was searching for some hooks earlier and clicked on the barlows site. Ended up at cabelas. LOL

in cold water I use a round head weedguard jig in 5/16-3/8 with a short skirt, 2" trailer. I still use a little heavier jig head but try to use a smaller profile.

Thanks guys. I prefer Mustads better hook for the money imo. I'll try bending a few and see what else I can come up with. Those 45s might fit.

LOL, I always have a gun in my selection with a grenade launcher for this very reason. Works 100% of the time. Or symtex. Sticks right to the shield. ;D I've fought alot of people that use that Javelin thing. I just leave the game and find another.

I've got a BSR852 that is really sweet for closer fishing. But way out theres' it lacks length and hook set power.

Do you guys know if Mustad makes these? I've looked on their site but cant find them. I'm looking for their ultra points in 4/0. All I can find is Gamakatsu's. If I have too I'll buy those. Thanks

Easy fix to that. If your fighting campers, Run and run fast on the outskirts with thermal/heartbeat sensor. Take them down a few times and they will quit camping. I have completely upgraded my Scar H and cap them dead. Learn the good hid outs and just put a grenade up there. Its hit and miss but once you learn the good ones and you have campers. Its more hits then misses. ;D FMJ's are nice too if you dont have thick walls just spray the area with the RPD or something. ;D
