Guys and Gals,
As most of you know I'm teaching my girlfriend to fish better. My problem I have realized is she doesnt know the difference between a bite, the weeds/tree, and the bottom.
I have tried to explain it to her but I need to take it further. So here is what I have in mind.
Cast out the lure and fish it with her so she can "feel" what is what while I explain it to her. Hoping we can get a bit and let her set the hook on it.
Has anyone tried this or have a better idea?
Everything else she has picked up real quick. Casting a baitcaster and spinning rod didnt take long at all.
Rolo, I hope she gets to that point. That way I can go more and more. ;D ;D
I did take her to a farm pond Monday evening. She did a real good job on those bass. I set her up with a 6" lizard with a 1/8 oz weight. She caught a few good ones and got really excited.
Burley, I have learned recently that there is no chart/white, citrus shad, black/blue, etc. There is just "Thats cute. Thats pretty. Oh I like that one its pink and I like pink so the fish will too." ;D
Right now she fishes with my BCR853/chronarch and BSR852/sustain combos:o I dont think I set her up too bad. LOL Eventually I will get her a rod and reel but right now she can use them. Tackle wise I do need to get her some good stuff. I need to get her some "guaranteed" fish catchers like senkos, flukes, and a few other things. I think I'll take her to the tackle shop this weekend or just make it all for her.
Mine would be:
We were fishing in Canada at Rainy lake. One of the other boats was dropping off a guy at the dock. As the boat slowly crept forward he did the step from the boat to the dock. The driver at that instant put it in reverse to keep the boat from hitting the dock. Well, the guy wasnt all the way on the dock. First he almost did the splits and then fell into the water. Funniest thing I've ever seen. I still laugh about that and give the guy a hard time when I see him.
about 2 weeks ago I woke up and drove to work. Over night all the rivers that run into the Mississippi jumped up about 10-15'. They will probably stay like that for awhile.
Sucks doesnt it. Although MO isnt a tiny state.
I don't know about private school but I am a graduate of public. Our public school here is pretty good. I turned out 1/2 normal. I'm smarter then most and dumber then some. ;D
I don't know your schools in your area but for preschool I would seriously look at public unless you have that kind of money to toss out.
