  1. wow, very nice
  2. Guy argues with Glenn. Smart man. : LOL Hahaa
  3. Not harsh at all. I kind of like what some countries do, like amputating the hand of a thief. Certainly is a badge that's hard to conceal. Nothing like a glaring advertisement showing what you're about. Brand theif across their head! I hope you get all your stuff if not most of it!!
  4. They usually are not even close.
  5. For that price I would be more tempted to buy a tool and the colors I like to throw.
  6. The stuff on the surface appears to be the tip of the iceberg. There are large oil plumes deep in the ocean that may or may not surface. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-06-08/toxic-undersea-oil-plumes-lurk-in-gulf-of-mexico-update2-.html I'm sure we will be haunted by those for years to come. Who knows where they will pop up.
  7. I havent use one in combat unless you count hunting and clays, but I have used an 870 alot. That is the route I would go.
  8. Here are two Trokar hook Jigs I made. One in Mop and the other standard. So far I am impressed with these hooks. Extremely sharp.
  9. Dont worry its not going to happen. I'm in the summer time boredom since my boat is down, looking for something to tinker around with. LOL last year was bismuth jigs this year is Trokar. Next year no idea yet. Depends. It never ends. LOL Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to tinker with this and see what happens. It might not even work but we will see. I have a feeling it will from past experience. I'll keep you guys posted. Watch the tackle making section in about a week.
  10. All the feed back is welcome. Good bad and ugly. I'm going to go forward with this and I know of a lake that loves jigs but is real tricky to fish. It would be a great test lake. These fish are weird to everywhere else I have fished. Sounded to me like a good idea.
  11. crap, I threw a bag of about 15 of these out not too long ago. Never used in 3 colors. I would have given them to you.
  12. Pretty much what the title says. Are they really that great? I've seen some good reports. I've been thinking about buying a pack and try to modify them for a jig. 8-)
  13. Sound advice there. I've had to wear mine alot this just fishing due to high waves. No way I'd just troll around with it off.
  14. I typically use a 3/8 oz swim jig in blue shad or grey shad. What are you guys throwing? Type of trailer? Do you go with old stand by or since you are swimming it use a twisting tail?
  15. Typically in this situation I will throw a Florida rigged weight with a sleek bait. Ribbon tails or bulky fronted baits tend to catch a lot of weeds. My preference, 3/4-1.5oz tungsten weight and any slim line bait that the front of the body is smaller then the weight back. Craw type baits seem to work good.
  16. I have, I am a huge fan of the dead ringers. Green pumpkin is my favorite. Next to those is the ol monster.
  17. give them a chance to fix the problem then report.
  18. most of my fishing with a standard head/grub is unpainted.
  19. Your not the only one that has asked about this very issue. One day last year I started messing around with tin/bismuth and built a few nontox jigs. One of the side effects was the jig is lighter then lead. Pretty cool I thought. I discovered that a 1/2oz profile jig weighs about 3/8 ounce. A 3/8 is about a 1/4. Thanks guys!
  20. saw that one coming. Wish I could have been there to witness it. That would have been a great moment in Gman history, while laughing at them.
  21. I use a handpoured 2" chunk trailer.
  22. I already have. ;D
  23. I dont have a daughter but I know my answer wouldnt change.
