I think your very complaint is why they came out with that deep flex rod. I have a CBR in the 7'6" and its the same exact way. The handle needs about 4" more length.
Rod on any bait. The reel may lose you casting distance but the rod will lose fish/accuracy/sensitivity. I'm not saying go out and buy a 500 dollar rod and a 30 dollar real but I would buy a better rod then reel. There is a happy median between them. Only you can answer that for yourself.
I made some of these in a round ball the other day fartin around with different hooks. I was wondering if the hooks I used would work. Wish I had a pic.
I had the same issue but I went through the new password deal and found I had to type it in and not cut and past. Now they have to put up with me again.
I'm really liking the new format. It has a lot of neat features that make surfing the board easier and faster. My favorite is the ability to view unread topics.
I had your very problem until I bought a shield bracket too. Mine wasnt as fancy as Waynes but it worked. It was a plastic bracket with some fingers sticking down that protected the transducer.
Since then I never broke another transducer on my old boat. Just cut cables. Now I tape all the cable tight to the motor so the limbs and crud dont get caught. So far so good.
I agree. this will save you money in the long run if you every upgrade.
I have found that to be the cause in my life, from Benelli Shotguns to GLX G. Loomis. Buy one of the best and buy it once. (until they come out with nrx ;D)
Same here. I agree with these guys.
On the average about 2-3 ft. of visibility. It could be as stained as 6 in. viz or as clear as 5 ft.
CJ, whats the "typical" pattern that time of year that we will be there?
