  1. Primus, the football makes quite a commotion in brush its seems to work better for me at times. Especially in big timber. Give it a try and see. Some jig head styles sometimes pull through easier but not all of them make the thumping against the wood because of the shape of the head.
  2. Yes, but the hook is better quality. Its an Owner XXX hook. The recess will only be on the Brush head. The price will be close to that Outkast jig. Here are some specs Weedgaurd is heavy Hook Owner XXX hook Skirt will be approx 55 strand Powder Coated paint
  3. Do you guys look for a jig for extreme heavy cover conditions? A heavy duty jig for heavy fish and heavy cover? Big O, Paul. and I have come up with an Extreme Conditions jig. The hook is one of the finest hooks made and is virtually impossible to bend. This jig has a heavier weedgaurd for those nasty conditions. This jig will be available in a Brush Jig and a Football Jig. I'll be releasing it later this week.
  4. Those look really good.
  5. very cool Big M
  6. I'd make sure its legal first. But I agree. Its a little on the small side.
  7. I fish with my girlfriend all the time. Lately she has been building her own lures out of my jig parts. Actually she is about the only person I've fished with this year besides the KY lake trip.
  8. Its not as near durable as powder paint. But its easier. I look to take the shine off them. I'm not really looking for the actual color. I've tried to powder coat weights, Its a big hassle to do it right. by dipping them. You have to plug both ends then suspend them somehow in the oven to cure them. Plus most of my tungstens have the plastic insert. If the paint starts coming off just shoot them again. I dont t rig all that much anymore but I paint all my weights black.
  9. I would have done the same as you. Its pretty sad that so many people have to cheat to keep up.
  10. you could powder coat them. Dont powder coat if they have the plastic tube in them. But word of the wise. Make sure there is no powder that will clog the hole before you cure them. I spray paint mine.
  11. Very cool!
  12. I typically use black/blue or sapphire blue sometimes I use black/chart.
  13. if I was in your position I'd always use braid.
  14. 1 sometimes it is. This is why I use flourocarbon in clear water and braid in the thick stuff or muddy water. 2. Yes you can. I typically do not use a leader with my braid. I use a polymer knot. 3. Not sure but it probably will until it absorbs water.
  15. Amen! Take the time. 600 dollars is worth the family time for that long.
  16. Very cool. Congrats!
