  1. Beat me to that one.
  2. Most of the difference is in quality of parts used. Mainly the hook, skirt thickness, and paint. You also have where it is manufactured. Most major store bought brand jigs are imported. Almost all of the custom guys like myself or Northstar are made here in the USA by guys that like to fish. I started out making jigs because I became frustrated with the subpar products coming off the shelf. Custom isn't always more expensive. If you look at my Big O jig at 3.50 each which is .50-1.50 less then many store premium brands. Honestly it is a better jig with better components. I do make jigs with a rattle band and sell rattles as an accessory. I'll even install them if you ask.
  3. If you have never used a flouro before and are just now switching there is a learning curve to how the line works. Inviz X is by far my favorite to date. When I made the switch it took me several outing to get to understand how the line works over Mono.
  4. Shaky head it is good too. It looks like a bottom feeding fish.
  5. The shell cracker is a really cool bait. It flat works. Its one of my wifes favorite baits. Every time we fish now after the Road trip I ask her what she wants to fish. Its either her jig or a shell cracker. My favorite way to fish it is on a weighted hook.
  6. Unfortunately it does not. Shipping to Canada is pretty expensive. Usually $15-20.
  7. Wow, Awesome fish! Congrats.
  8. Senkos are so soft that the fish will throw them.
  9. Thank you for the great report. That Bluegill jig is now in the top 5 sellers of mine. I hope your wife is doing well.
  10. She had it on a 1/4oz Zenith shaky head with a summer craw menace. I rigged it up for her. It was the identical one I was using.
  11. I have just received my shipment of Rage Tail Menace. I fished this bait at the Road Trip this year and liked it so much I had to offer it. It fishes great on a Zenith Shaky head. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/rage-tail-smokin-rooster
  12. They were bitting really good for the first few days of our trip. That day was actually one of the slower ones. Then the winds came and shut us down for a few days. The first few days were about 80 and sunny. Thats when we really put a hurting on them. We were busier catching then taking pictures.
  13. The 3 is a good all around jig/worm rod for 1/2oz or less. I use it mainly as a spinner bait rod, jigs, t rig with about 12-15lb line. This rod is one of the most versatile rods loomis makes IMO.
  14. Here are some pics from our trip. Julie won that custom rod she is using at the Road Trip. Its an awesome rod Ronnie built! We had a great time and caught a ton of fish.
  15. Nice Smallies
  16. Welcome aboard! Good luck and be safe.
  17. I do not fish leaders. I look at it as if I need a leader I'll just throw flouro.
  18. Nicely done!
  19. One of the biggest differences is the hook. I use an Owner hook. Owner is by far my favorite hook on the market and one of the best. Other features are powder painted head for durability. Sampo Ball bearing swivel. Wire tied skirt that is approx 55 strands. Then the blades are not stamped steel they are Brass and nickel plated. Wont rust like a steel blades. This is from Worth Website on the blades. "stamped from only the finest brass and are then finished with great attention to detail. Smooth burnished edges and highly reflective finishes insure a lure that performs exceptionally well. Worth Willow Leaf blades are available in your choice of smooth or hammered brass."
  20. very nice! Congrats
  21. Sure can. I can make them in 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1oz.
