  1. Burley - It's your Iron Chef America Challenge. Make a gourmet meal out of it.
  2. Not too many branches on that family tree now is there : ?
  3. Yes, your zipcode tells businesses a lot. They base their advertising and even the prices of their products on it. Example: A supermarket chain charges more for the exact same products when the store is in an affluent town versus a "blue coller" town. Nothing new there, businesses have been operating like this forever.
  4. Who here has ever driven a car with a "three on the tree" ? For those of you scratching your heads, it was a manual transmission where the shifter was on the right side of the steering column. One of my first cars was a '63 Plymouth Valient that had it. Talk about a bulletproof car.
  5. Hey !! That's my late night snack for tonight. Give it back.
  6. Don't you just hate thieves ?
  7. In the flea market: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1231977327
  8. Most guys here would probably turn their nose up at them, but they do catch fish. They are the Zebcos of the lure world - and I don't mean that in a bad way. Are there better lures out there ? You bet. But for two bucks you can't go wrong. The Rebel Pop-R topwater plug has been a favorite of mine forever.
  9. What part of Jersey are you from ? I'm from Lindenwold in Camden County. I was out about two weeks ago messin' with my new rig. I didn't get anything either, but it was still nice to get out. This time last year I nailed an 18" pickeral on my ultra lite rig and a Yo-Zuri Pin Minnow. Been spending my time in the man cave getting ready for spring. I've been spotting some new lakes to check out - Malaga Lake and a couple down in Dennisville off of Route 47, plus one in Chatsworth. One thing for sure, no one is going out this weekend around here.
  10. I'd give her the best 24 seconds of her life.... :
  11. My favorite is the guy in the right lane as you are entering the highway from an entrance ramp who will not move over even though he can do it safely. Then he looks at you like you're the idiot when you get up next to him. > Hey Muddy, if you're reading this, I saw driving stunts in Brooklyn that made ME lose my breath, and I'm from New Jersey, the undisputed bad driving champions of the world !!
  12. Screw 'em. I'm starting my own organization: People Eating Tasty Animals. Our logo will be a clueless treehugger being bludgeoned by hunters and fisherman. Who's with me ?
  13. Right on. Wayyyy brighter light along with wayyyy less electrical current draw. A couple more bucks up front, but they will pay for themselves. Another tip: use tinned wire for marine applications. Regular copper strand wire will work, but it won't stand up to the elements. Use heat shrink type connecters, don't let that green corrosion cancer get into the wiring.
  14. You gotta be kidding, right !? You've never seen Outlaw Josey Wales or Unforgiven ? Two of the greatest westerns, period.
  15. Check out this article. I'm interested in one too. http://www.kayakfishingstuff.com/choosing_a_fishing_kayak.asp
  16. They tell you how cold the water is.
  17. I have a Quantum Inferno (Made for Dick's) that's about 3 years old. While I can't really complain about the performance, the finish is crap. The handle looks like a tarnished doorknob in a haunted house and the rest of the body has not held up too well.
  18. It's a shame that (probably) a vast majority of attorneys perform their jobs professionally and ethically while the minority are the "ambulance chasers" who discredit the entire profession. As a mechanic I can kind of sympathise as we too don't enjoy the best reputation either. As for Mr. Lawsuit Filer, I wonder if those disabled people who pride themselves on self reliance cringe when they see this ?
  19. Excellent. NOTHING like a little one running up to you screaming "Daddy!!" at the top of their lungs when you walk in
  20. Hardly a "dangerous" encounter, but years ago me and my buddy were fishing his grandad's farm pond. I walked up this small hill that had some brush on the top and ended up face to face with a LARGE momma Canadian goose that was minding her nest. She spread her wings and started squawking and flapping and causing a big ruckus. I just about crapped myself as I went tumbling backwards down the hill, fishing pole and tacklebox flying everywhere. Twenty years later we still laugh our a**es off when we talk about it
  21. What, fix a car instead of buying new ?? If everyone did that, the auto execs might have to start flying first class instead of a private jet. Sheeeeesh, what are you, un- American ?
  22. This nails it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTbJf8RDPgs
  23. Kind of off subject, but did he have to pay for that catalytic converter ? They're a lot of money. We had a Taurus a few years ago (second owners). Anyway, the cat went bad. A buddy of mine that owns a shop diagnosed it. He said to check the owner's manual, seems there is (was?) a law that said car manufacturers were liable for major emission components regardless of if you were the original owner or not. In my case, it was eight years or eighty thousand miles of coverage. Called Ford and sure enough they took care of it. Keep that in mind if you ever have something like that happen.
