Just about everything in the Sufix lineup is a winner.

I too started throwing them about two years ago. I quickly found out I needed smaller jigs in a lot of the waters I fish because of the amount of snot algae I have to deal with. Most of the time they got fouled almost instantly. I did catch fish on them though, that's why I didn't give up on them. I just got a bunch of 1/16 oz Strike King Bitsy jigs. This year I'm going waaaaay outside of the box and throwing these with 2" Paca Chunks for a trailer using my ultra light rig. I can't wait to start throwing this, I just have a feeling it's going to be a winner.

Try Googling "UK carp fishing" . Carp fishing in the United Kingdom is almost a religion. They can be as fanatical as we are about bass. Also pay attention to any mention of "boilies" baits.

Clancy W After a couple outings the bail would stick open if I just started to crank to close it, now I normally hand close the bail but in haste have forgotten a few times. It then started to feel like the gears were grinding and since then it has spent more time at home than on the water. Maybe a good cleaning and some time with a reel mechanic can bring it back to life. Well I havent had that problem, but I dont reel the bail closed. Clancy W This brings up a few points. It's a fact that most baitcast reels benefit from a thorough clean and lube even when brand new. Spinning reels are no different. Like baitcast, most spinning reels are way overlubed from the factory. ALWAYS close the bail by hand after a cast. Most line problems occur from reeling the bail shut. One last thing. Most modern era reels have a line roller bearing as part of the bail assembly. This bearing is more prone to trouble as it is 'outside' of the reel. If you have chronic line twisting, make sure the line roller spool spins freely. It's a tiny bearing and you won't hear it if it locks up. The line will just glide over the roller instead of spinning it.

That's the ONLY thing that annoys me with Pflueger - the handles are not standard across the product line. The regular Supreme handle is a home run. The Trion and President have those horrible rosewood handles. Pflueger succumbed to the EVA fad on the Patriarch and new Supreme. I hope they reconsider when it's time for the next generation. Maybe I'll buy a Shimano.......... NOT !!!

This is likely what happened. Something (oil pressure, water temp, any number of things) ran outside of it's parameters and it went into self protection. Pulling codes is the right thing to do, but Auto Zone is the last place I'd have diagnosing my vehicle. Speaking from experience, codes can be triggered by other things not related to the item that's supposed to be at fault. Often sensors share a common ground (return) path This is best diagnosed by a qualified tech.

I broke my Avid last year. I think I may have been at fault and told St. Croix so. They replaced the rod without a hitch. Score one for St. Croix I just got a brand new Fenwick Elite River Runner, it has a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner. I could not find anything on their site's warranty page about a fee. BTW, that was a $130 rod.

In my line of work (field service mechanic) I have been trained to be creative when it comes to this. After 10 years of utilizing 5 gallon buckets in the back of my work truck (way more sanitary than any outhouse or public john), beaching the kayak and scooting into the woods is no big deal.

It's not heavy cardboard by any stretch of the imagination. It's got printing on it that indicates that it was packaged at Fenwick. BPS probably received it and put a shipping label on it when my order was processed. I don't really have a gripe, it just surprise me. The rod is a two piece. It was in a sealed plastic pack inside the box, that was it. First rod I've had sent to me that wasn't in a heavy cardboard tube.

Once great baits that are shells of their former selves. Just one example - the Jitterbug. Crappy misaligned hardware, cheap bodies, joke hooks. This could be repeated hundreds of times over throughout the fishing world. That reminds me. Paying for a new bait and having to upgrade the hooks right away. >
