  1. Wow is right. I thought it was just a matter of whether or not she'd get the death penalty. She just went from Death Row to the sidewalk.
  2. It all depends on depth and wind. The deeper the water or higher the wind = heavier weight. I like 1/4 oz most of the time if I can get away with it.
  3. Claytor has it all. Creeks, docks, rocks, flats, stumps, grass etc.....There are some big fish in there but a lot of tournaments on Claytor are won with 10 lbs or less so it's more known for being a 'numbers' lake. In the spring you'll have some big bags weighed in and in some of the summer night tournaments will have some bigger bags but if you can get 10 lbs no matter what season, you've done okay. The last tournament I fished there we caught a pile of fish. Spots, smallmouth, largemouth and caught them all day long.....got back to the weigh in and had 8.5 lbs. Thad (a member here) fishes Claytor on a regular and is very knowledgable about it. I know he can help you with more specific type things you might be looking for.
  4. Nice looking jigs, no doubt.
  5. One of the most effective baits for fish that are schooled up deep and feeding on baitfish is a jigging spoon or a flutter spoon.
  6. I really like his skirt color selection, I bought a load of his skirts a couple of months ago. Thanks for supporting BR Gman!

    Lebron Jokes

The media was drooling on their shoes for over a year in advance about what Lebron was going to do and where he was going to go. The situation blew up on it's own. Lebron saw a chance to make the Boys Home some money by turning 'The Decision' into a primetime event. The media caused all the hype and it started even before his last season in Cleveland started. The media created that monster because they speculated and talked about 'The Decision' nonstop all thru the season. Lebron just went with it. For the record, I'm not a Lebron hater or a Lebron fan. I do kinda feel sorry for the guy because every move he makes, whether good or bad, is criticized to the max by the media. It seems like he can't win no matter what he does.
  8. Some yes. Some no. It differs from lake to lake.
  9. I have the same one, I just put them over the screw one or two at a time. Always remember, if it ain't broke, dont fix it.
  10. I will bang a crankbait around on whatever I can find. If nothing is around, I dig it along the bottom.
  11. It was rumored that Fukae had around 20# in the livewell heading back to weigh in but he had to forfeit his catch because of the accident. If he really did have 20#, smacking that bridge cost him a 3rd place finish, roughly $16,000 in winnings (difference between 3rd money and 10th money) and he pretty much totaled a $60,000 dollar plus bass boat.
  12. He had 6 fish, turned himself in and his entire day 3 catch was disqualified. Had he found it before he weighed in they would have culled his biggest bass to get down to 5. Now his shot at the 2012 Classic is done
  13. Awesome indeed. Plus he's still got a chance to win the Wheeler tournament tomorrow, sittin in 3rd place at around 3 lbs back of the leader right now. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him throw a huge bag on the scales tomorrow and win the tournament as well.
  14. Good to see you posting again bighead!

    Lebron Jokes

I agree RootBeer. It was the Mavs time to win. The Heat will have their 'time'....probably quite a few times.
  16. That has come up as well but it doesn't matter, he didnt break any rules. No written rules anyway.
  17. The issue was that JVD zeroed on Day 1 then showed up on Brauers spot on Day 2 (after Brauer brought in a heavy bag on Day 1)
  18. Congrats to the Bruins and especially Tim Thomas. That dude was a stone wall in the Finals. He definitely deserved the Conn Smythe.
  19. Luongo almost made it thru half of the first period. Almost. Vancouver might have to start both goalies in net in Game 7. Go Bruins!!
  20. Load up the boat and come back after the sun goes down.
  21. Yeah, he's all over LeBron! He definitely drank too much Hater-ade!
  22. In my opinion, Wade is the superstar, at least right now in the Finals. LeBron crushed Chicago's hopes and dreams with big shot after big shot....now it seems like he just wants to watch Wade go to work. I dont blame him but he cant have another night like he had last night no matter what Wade does. LeBron has to get his head in the game or Dallas walks away with the trophy. All that said, its been a great series to watch, without a doubt. I hope it goes 7 even though I dont really 'like' either team. Heck, I dont even watch basketball until the playoffs.
  23. It sure does sound like you were either just on small fish or just happened to be throwing what the bigger fish didnt want. I know it's hard to leave when you're getting bit but after about 10 dinks, I would've done something different with bait choice. I know where I am during post spawn especially, the carolina rig really shines although I hate throwing it. It also sounds like you moved around a lot and hit multiple types of cover and structure so it almost had to be the bait and/or the presentation of the bait. Being post spawn, I wanted to say that you should've tried fishing out a little deeper and a little slower but if you're only fishing a lake that averages 5 ft of water, that doesn't give you much to play with. Whenever I'm catching small ones shallow, I keep moving deeper until I find bigger fish but the lakes I fish have channels that are 100' deep.
  24. The 1st period last night was great, back and forth, lots of hitting, then after that Luongo fell asleep at the wheel thankfully.
