  1. Al Davis is all by himself on top of the worst owner list. Although his knowledge of the business of the game is still immense, his ego gets in his way and everyone else's way as well. He's dragging the team down and has been for about a decade now. You know it's bad when you offer head coaching job interviews to people (who have probably dreamed of that all of their life) and some of them won't even return his call. I'm a Raider fan, by the way.
  2. Yep, thats what I was thinking.
  3. I really thought LSU would have a tougher time with Oregon's 'speed' than they did but in the end they laid the smack on the quack. Georgia seems to be missing a few key parts, as they are every year and I expect the Mark Richt haters will be out in full force from now until he's replaced. I was pulling hard for Utah St yesterday at Auburn but as someone said earlier, they mysteriously had a golden horseshoe fall out of their *** in the last 3 minutes. I could't believe that happened. The Baylor / TCU game was epic. It was hard to flip to another channel without someone scoring. All in all, it was a good weekend because Virginia Tech slapped Appalachian St. (thank goodness). Whew!
  4. Yep, yep.
  5. Correct. The PVS holes allow more exhaust to flow over the blades so the rpm's turn up quickly on holeshot. I've got dual PVS holes on a 28 Bravo1. You can buy small, medium and large hole plugs or solid plugs. When you go to buy them, buy a couple different sizes and buy some extra's because they are pretty much uselss after you pop one out. You really have to work with the plugs to figure out the right combination that will spin your wheel up fast, then grab and shoot you out of the hole. I'd try to locate some others with Nitro's that have a 150 and at least get an idea where to start by what they are using. If you start plugging blind and totally miss it, it's a real pain pulling the boat out of the water after every run and popping in and removing plugs over and over. If you can, find a ramp where you can just leave your trailer in the water.
  6. I have a buddy that was wondering the same thing. He called DirectTV and asked and they told him that he had to pay for it, that it was only for new customers so he told them that he was just going to cancel his DirectTV and go with the local cable company........then, all of the sudden, the NFL Package was free.
  7. Thats some good stuff right there J....LMAO!
  8. That sure was an ugly take-off!
  9. That had to hurt!
  10. You proved my point. No matter what the university does with the money......money is money.
  11. My dig with the system is that you'll have the university tell the players to refuse any money offered to them by boosters, alumni, etc....but as soon as the player turns his back, the university is accepting cash handouts from anybody that will give them one. In turn, the boosters and alumni that 'donate' the most money get the better choices of tickets, parking, suites, etc....it's hypocritical at best.
  12. There is definitely a shortage of quality QB's in the NFL. I think some of the teams that signed these "QB's" this year are hoping to get pounded all season so they can get Andrew Luck in the draft. Seattle signed Tavaris Jackson? LMAO. 49ers re-signed Alex Smith? Again, LMAO. The Raiders have Jason Campbell starting....again. (The Raiders are killing me by the way.)
  13. LMAO ! It's a good thing the Seachickens did a little something last year because they may not win too many this year. Tavaris Jackson? Seriously?
  14. Chevy Trucks Gambler Boats Mercury Marine Exxon Tackle Warehouse Abu Garcia Marlboro
  15. We catch 'em in the rivers around here all the time. Some call 'em rock bass, some call 'em red-eyes. No matter what they're called, they hit like a ton of bricks and once you set the hook they suddenly turn into body surfers just gliding across the water.
  16. Yep....and this is happening more and more each day.
  17. Congrats on the win!
  18. I switched from all Revo Premiers and STX's to Lew's Tournament Pro's back in March and have no regrets. If you look in the right places you can find the Tournament Pro's for about $150 shipped. I dont know of another $150 - $180 dollar reel that is comparable to the Lew's TP. I'm glad I decided to try them.
  19. I bought several of the hair jigs a year or so ago and I throw them everytime I'm on the water no matter what season it is.
  20. I like a Owner Wide Gap Plus Black Chrome Hook in 6/0 on big worms. Owner hooks are second to none, the hook points wont roll and the shanks wont flex like some other brands. With big worms there is a lot of plastic that can get wadded up in the fishes mouth and can end up being in the way of the hook penetrating on the hookset. The stiffness of the hook along with the wider gap helps if the worm bunches up, as it does quite often on a bait with lot of plastic.
  21. We have a site sponsor that makes some killer hair jigs. Check out his website, there are some great pictures on there. Northstar Hair Jigs
  22. I do think there's someone out there somewhere that will try to hurt her, if not kill her. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.
  23. I feel your pain. I throw deep cranks at night a lot. Luckily, like you said, the DD22 comes in some dark colors which are great at night. One that I throw on a regular basis that works great during the day as well as at night is a Green Pumpkin DD22. Strike King does have one that's kind of dark tinted. I bought a couple just for that reason. The color is something ghost.
  24. Sunline Super Sniper in my opinion is very good fluorocarbon line. I really like it on spinning reels. There is no other fluorocarbon that can compete with it's limpness and manageability as far as I'm concerned.
