  1. I'm a newbie and I can tell you from a recent experience that when I introduced myself, I got a HUGE welcome party. I just don't post that much because I know I have a lot to learn, and don't want to be the guy that sticks his foot in his mouth. I've learned from personal experience....
  2. Make sure you write down what the weather was like in the days prior to your fishing...This can be a huge factor sometimes!!!
  3. Welcome, and....HOLY CRAP nice bass!
  4. 1. DETERMINATION...I WILL find the big boy, no matter how long it takes. 2. MOTIVATION...The thought of the big boy is enough to motivate anybody!!! 3. CONFIDENCE...I don't care where I'm going, whether I've been there or not, I'm going to find the fish. If you don't have confidence in your own decision making, it's tough to make the right decision. Confidence can mean everything sometimes!
  5. I think it's like any other hobby or pasttime, we love it because it's an escape from reality and it gives us a chance to reflect. It could also be because of the constant oppurtunity you have to hook up to a lunker. The thrill and the possibility keeps us coming back. We will all have our own personal reasons as to why we love it, but they all get at the same thing.
  6. Can't you boys all see it, his name says it all...BUCKET MOUTH!!! Once the bucket tips, it all spills out with nothing stopping it. Anyway, great show Mike. It's one that we can all relate to!
  7. Without sunglasses, your eyes will get really sore because you are squinting all day long, so they definately help in terms of comfort. As far as performance goes, polarized is definately the way to go. Helps a great deal in shallow water!!!
  8. Last summer I fished the hell out of a lake in my area. I fished it at least 3 times a week for 2 months, and only caught one huge bass. Other than that, NOTHING. I fished the shallow edges where the lily-pads were, I fished shallow weed beds, boat docks, and rock piles. I still couldn't manage to pull up a fish. I know there's big bass in there somewhere but I can't find them. The big boy I managed to pull up was from the edge where a tree branch had fallen in using a 6" tequila sunrise Power Bait. What would you guys do in this situation?
  9. As the new guy I just wanted to introduce myself. Don't know if anyone does this or not but I figured it would be a jesture of kindness. Still trying to find my way around so take it easy on me
