I played Defensive Tackle in Grammer School and Middle Linebacker in High School. I never led with the head but did try to knock the bejesus out of the ball carrier. By my experience some of the ball carriers knew how to absorb the hit. At times I would just level them and they would spring back up. Very frustrating, I beleive it is also about how to take a hit as giving one. I would also get rattled. It is going to happen no matter what, just part of the game. Play by the rules and what happens will happen.

I fished the Barbee Chain last weekend which is just south of Wawasee. The lakes really cooled and the fishing was tough. I would think Wawasee cooled down also. Tough call I do not know much about Racoon but Wawasee can be quite good but may be near turnover if the weather does not warm up.

Looks like this one came out of the Chicago River based on the back drop. The Goby's seem to have really increased the size of these in Lake Michigan, good to see bigger ones making their way into the river. Nice smallie!!!!!!!

All true but somehow they need to distinguish between a malicious hit and just playing football. I am afraid they are not willing to do that due to the consequences. Ditka summed it up quite well last night. He said in the 70's a helmet to helmet hit was unheard of. It is due to the improvements of the helmet. They would not hit that way in the 70's but give a man a weapon and look what happens. I had a few concussions when I played until I wised up. Helmets did not protect the way they do today.

It does look to be every bit of 7 lbs could even be 8 lbs. A bit of a tip. Length and girth measurements tend to be somewhat accurate and stops some speculation. The next time take 2 pieces of line and cut them to suit the lentgh and girth. Save them and check latter, it will remove some doubt.

Well guys at least you got em. Thanks for the tip on the RR Bridge we fished it a half day Saturday before we had to head north. It pretty much saved the trip for us. By the way we did get a mixed bag there. LMB, White Bass, Crappy and Walleye. If you were not crankin you were not catching. I hate it. Did get a nice 3lb 8oz Jig Fish thanks to a secret jig NewAngler sent me which is stuck in the Rip Rap at the dam. If anyone snags it I want it back! By the way I do think Kelley is a Horn Dog. The man can put the move on the ladies for sure.

Like others had said do it while you can. As you settle, get older and become set in your ways it becomes harder. You are single with yourself only to answer to, follow the dream, if not you will regret it. Success will come, but once it has it is harder to pack up and follow a dream. I would love to be a Bass Fishing Guide but my career has got in the way and it is hard to give up what I have today.

Underestimating these people is a grave mistake. They have very little to lose that is why they are involved in things good people are not. We need our military down there to support. Yep, marinate (over night) in Olive Oil with Lemon (go easy on lemon). Season to your liking. This will even make a breast more moist.
