Hi Buzzbait,well I fish Canoe Creek quite abit so I'll try to help.This time of year the lake is really weedy,so be ready to clean your trolling motor prop alot.(oh by the way it's trolling motor only)Fish around the weeds on the surface and fish submerged weed lines,which are all over.The lake is mostly shallow,but is deeper at the breast of the dam(around 25 ft.) I fish T-rigged soft plastic's,on 8lb. test line,no troubles.I was over there this morning and caught 12 largemouth,including a 6 lb.'er.Canoe Creek is a trophy bass lake,so it's 15 in. minimum.I hope this helps some,Good Luck!
