  1. Well I am from connecticut and the water temps are in the high 60's but I dont see males on all the beds so I am not sure if they spawned yet but they should be with these water temps as high as they are.
  2. Yep...hence the point of our discussion; nothing nothing new and exciting from the Loomis camp. Now lets see if someone finds pics of these JDM inspired GLX's... From what I found they don't exist I looked at alot of info and couldnt find anything if you have any luck let us know I like to see them.
  3. this is what I found http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast2008gloomis.html
  4. thats what I have been trying to say reel mechanic.
  5. you think cork is expensive these rod companies use so much cork the probely pay pennies for it. Cork isn't even that expensive for me or you so I don't think there doing it to save any money.
  6. Do you think the split grip rods are more sensitive than the the full grip rod? I personally think the split grip rods are a little more sensitive. When I looked at buying my frist split grip rod I was at my friends tackle shop and I asked him what the deal was with these rod are they just meant to look cool or are they more sensitive. He handed me a rod and put the tip of rod up against his adams apple by my hand being in contact with the blank I could feel the vibrations every time he said something.I really couldnt feel it with a full grip rod.So what do you guys think is split grip just another fad or is it really a more sensitive rod?
  7. They do offer there blanks to the custom rod builders. The whole split grip design isn't about looking cool it is for better senceitvity. If your rod feels to tip heavy you just need to balance your rod by putting some weight in the back of the blank. I guarantee you the same rod with split grip and non split grip in your hands you cant tell the difference in sensitivity don't fool your self buddy :-X : Well I own both split grip and full grip rods and there is a difference its not a huge difference. So don't fool yourself buddy. So do I and rod builders have clamied it makes no difference they use split grip to save on cork cost, and because customers fell it's m0ore comfortable. In fact a full grip balances the rod better which a balanced rod will feel more sensitive Bud, The price of cork is peanuts. The are not saving that much maybe few dollars depends on the quality of the cork. The st. croix legend is any where from 220 to 270 so you think they made it a spit grip to save money on cork you are nuts. A company like st. croix or lommis get the cork for pennies. Think what you want.
  8. I don't know if there are that many honest people out there. That does suck bad sorry for your loss. We learn from are mistakes so I guess you just have to think of this as a learning experience.

  11. They cameout reel good. How long have you been doing this for? I am thinking about starting to paint my own baits.
  12. what kind of blank did you use?
  13. I use the plano stowaway boxes it has a bunch of compartments and I put the bait in its organil package in the box. So I have four of these boxes I keep my senkos in one and beavers in another and I just throw them in my tackle compartment in my boat and just grab whatever I need when I need it. It works pretty good and everything is nice and organized.
  14. I am thinking about buying a Powell rod and I dont know to much about them so I want to see what other people think of them before I buy one
  15. The slow sinking of the worm is what gives it that action thats why the fish bits on its way down
