  1. When I am bank fishing I prefer to use lures where I can control the depth. Such as. Spinnerbaits. Lipless crankbaits. Soft Plastics especially senkos rigged wacky & texas style.
  2. There's your answer.
  3. There are only 2 instances that I will watch Leno. 1.) Headlines. They are freaking funny. 2.) If a band I like is playing.
  4. Very nice my friend. Those are some good looking bass.
  5. Yeah I hate the car wash ? as well.
  6. That thing is huge. Scary looking.
  7. Great addition to the forums. Welcome to all the wonderful fishermen....oops sorry I mean fisherwomen. Glad to have all you wonderful ladies apart of the forums.
  8. Think about it.... It's comparable to a rainstorm, just a low pressure situation that is around 32 degrees. I have heard of guys throwing buzzbaits in a snow storm and killin' it. Done it. It was crazy. Never in a hundred years would have I thought that a buzzbait would be a good bait when it was snowing. In texas especially. ;D
  9. About 4 to 4 1/2lbs. Nice fish though.
  10. What a fish. Even better what a catch. Congrats my friend.
  11. Great job, great fish. I agree with all the others in buying a scale. Of course that means all your fish are going to start shrinking. ;D
  12. One of my go too baits is a jerkbait & my experience with the XPS jerkbait has been great. I totally agree with Snoopy that the stock hooks suck. With that being said, I change ALL my baits stock treble hooks to Owner ST-41. Are the XPS baits an even substitute to Lucky Craft, Jackall, Megabass, or any other top end hard bait company? NO!!! Are they a great substitute for Strike King, Bomber, Rapala, or Norman. YES!!! My advice would be to buy a few & see how they feel to you. If you hate them no worries, they were only a few bucks a piece. If you love them, great you found yourself a killer deal.
  13. Yeah I showed it to one of my friends the other day & we were both hurting from laughing so hard.
  14. 1. Shakey head 2. Deep Diving crankbaits (all though I'm getting better with them) 3. Vertical spoon jigging
  15. For those of you who have seen it before, enjoy it again. For those of you who haven't seen it, here you go. I saw if for the first time yesterday & couldn't stop laughing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bu0eVcu9y4
  16. Thank you sir. I have my dad to thank for taking such good care of it for so many years before it exchanged hands to me. & stringjam it's awesome that your fiance plays bass. My wife & I are just the opposite. She plays guitar & I play the bass.
  17. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1265653134 There you go. Don't just watch the bait in the video, watch the hooksets.
  18. Also don't pass up using a lipless crankbait. Many of the lakes up there have pretty thick submerged grass & a lipless crankbait is much easier to fish in that stuff then a billed crankbait that keeps digging straight down & getting tangled up. For me the only time I use a billed crankbait in submerged grass is if I know that my baits running depth is right at the top of the grass.
  19. Senko's rigged every which way. Wacky rig around weed edges. T-rig to punch through the thicker stuff. C-rig for the muddy bottom. Also never pass up the old standbys for ponds such as a jig & grub, tiny torpedo, jitterbug, beetle spin etc...
  20. Makes sense to me. A lot of people that I know down here fish Traps without the rear treble hook. They upsize the front one & just completely remove the rear one. With that being said, this looks pretty good idea to me.
  21. At BPS I would go with the Roboworms. They make some of the best floating worms out there. *.com has a good floater as well but not as many colors to chose from.
  22. My PB was caught at 7am. My second best was caught at about 4pm.
  23. Man those are some good looking chunky fish. Good job bud.
  24. Sure, when the fish are biting that color. Seriously though, it's hard to go wrong with chartreuse. I've never had great luck up there with a solid chartreuse but rather chartreuse with purple/blue/green top. Also I prefer to use chartreuse with the deeper diving crankbaits where the light doesn't penetrate as well. When fishing in more shallow water, given the water is clear, I'll always go with a more realistic pattern. As well make sure your hitting something with the crankbait. You'll catch fish with a steady retrieve but you'll up that alot if your bumping your bait into something. Hope this helps.
  25. I would just go with the spinnerbait that I liked the best then downsize the blade. You can pickup blades at any Bass Pro, Cabelas, or Gander Mountain.
