  1. I may not, but I’d like get more info on it & maybe see what i could get for it. Its a gorgeous knife but it’s just not one I’m tied to. I’ll never actually use it, & I have other knives that i like better that also have sentimental value to me.
  2. I have a Jeff Hollett knife that I’m thinking of selling but i have zero idea what it’s worth or where the best place would be to sell. Heck, i don’t even know what protocol is when it comes to selling knives online. Ha. Through searching ive found that Jeff was a knife maker from Texas who passed a few years back. Since his passing it seems that his knives have become harder to find & prices have gone up slightly when one hits the market. Problem is that i have no idea what i would even ask for mine. They seem to start around $200-$250 and go on up above $1k. Again, i realize this is sort of a long shot here on a bass forum but i figured I’d ask my BR family first. Never know, someone might know all the answers. Ha
  3. On my wife's Facebook music page someone requested her to cover the song Tennessee Whiskey. You know, the song that's been played to death on the radio & has been covered on YouTube a hundred times. Anywho, she took a stab at it last & it turned out rather nice. Hope you enjoy.
  4. For those that haven't seen previous posts, I'm a full time musician who gets the opportunity to play music all the time. My wife, however, is insanely talented but between work and mommy duties, she doesn't get much opportunities to showcase her musical abilities. Making these videos are just a simple outlet for her voice to be heard by someone other than out 19mo old. Haha. We did get to play a show together last week and got multiple requests for this song. Today, while our daughter took a nap, we decided to work it up and record it real quick. Hope you enjoy. Disclaimer - it is a Justin Bieber song. Ha.
  5. I started playing with her about 13yrs ago and she still gives me goosebumps from time to time. Ha.
  6. It's been talked about but probably not.
  7. Little impromptu playing recording last night. We don't do this often but we enjoy it. Hope you enjoy. Here is a link to a previous thread. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/159974-music-with-my-wife-part-3/?fromsearch=1
  8. Had to stay at a friends house on 10/31 down in south Texas. When I pulled up around 10:30 we could hear something at the edge of his property. Grabbed a flashlight and my phone and was able to capture this.
  9. Haha. Nahhh. Recorded with Mac Photo Booth. It mirrors the image for some reason and she uploaded it before I could flip it.
  10. Well it been almost a yr since we last made a video. Due to my wife's pregnancy & birth of our first baby it's been difficult to play as much as we would like. Lately, though, our baby girl has been really settling in on her sleep schedule so we figured it was time to make a new video. Our first 2 vids were of original songs (http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/144378-music-with-my-wife-part-2/?fromsearch=1) but this is a cove of one of Jens favorites. I hope you enjoy.
  11. Man beautiful fish!!! Congrats!!!
  12. Keep at it. Trust me, it's worth it. Something you can do for the rest of your life....like fishing
  13. Those Mcphersons are such nice guitars. My dad has a few of them. They are absolutely some of the nicest guitars I've ever played.
  14. Yes she does. Thanks. Yeah if you click on the link to our first video & scroll down a bit, I explain how I got the Olson. Crazy story.
  15. Few months ago my wife & I were starting to play a few more gigs then normal so we had to start actually practicing. I posted a video of one of our songs at that time (here is a link to that threadhttp://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/138128-music-with-my-wife/?hl=+wife%20+) & got some good feedback. About a month after that we found out that we're going to be future parents. Due to her being sick so much we didn't get to play or even practice much. Now that she's out of the first trimester she feels ready to start playing & singing again. Here is a little late evening fun. Hope you guys like it.
  16. Very nice. Great job!
  17. No we recorded in Mac Photo Booth & for some reason it mirrored our image. Don't know why. Would be unique though if we were both lefties. Yes that Olson is my prized possession even as a bass player. Short story, that Olson was actually made for Johnny Cash in 1983. James Olson was never allowed backstage at 2 concerts to give Cash the guitar so it sat in his workshop for a year until my dad got asked to come by & check out his guitars. My dad played a few but ultimately was drawn to the Black Olson with off white Ivory binding hanging on the wall. James told my dad the story, my dad then asked if Olson would sell it, Olson agreed to sell it for a whopping $600. HAHA. A few years later Cash wrote Olson stating he had been informed that Olson had a guitar for him. Olson told him that he had sold it to a Gospel singer (my dad), Cash wrote back stating he was glad my dad had the guitar because my dad was his & Junes favorite gospel artist. A few years ago my dad gave me the guitar & the letters between Cash & Olson. From my cold dead hands it will have to be pried away. Ha
  18. I appreciate the kind words. Thanks much.
  19. Just a little impromptu recording my wife & I did last night. We are opening at a few house shows these next few weeks & we're needing to brush up on some of our songs. Still working out the kinks but all in all it's coming along. Martin B-1 bass (guitar in case anyone was confused on this forum ), Olson Acoustic, room mic & a groove . Hope you enjoy. 20. I hear ya bud. I've always thought the same thing. The thing I like about TTBC @ Fork was that they were immediately releasing the fish right after they were caught in the area where they were caught. Most of the time I don't think its a big deal, but for this tourney at this time of year I think it's a great format. Though most fish were caught structure fishing in deeper water there were still quite a few bed fish that were caught. I like the idea of weighing those & getting them back on the beds asap. But yes, it would be very cool to see some big time tourneys on Dale, & Fork more often. Then again, being that Fork is my main lake I would rather not have it get more pressure then it already has. Just this tourney alone is going to bring so many more people to the lake for the next few months & beyond thinking all they have to do is cast a lure & catch a giant. Ha.
  21. You did see what he really had. They did grant an exception, although in a different way. Every boat has an on board official who weighs each fish caught. The fish are caught, weighed, & then immediately released. At then end of the day their sack is their 5 largest. If anyone is confused about culling a 9-8 for a 10-4 "NJ" explained it correctly. You can only have 1 fish in your livewell over 24". His 9-8 was still counted, he just wanted to bring the 10-4 to the scales instead of the 9-8. I love, LOVE slots. It's the exact reason why my home lake represented so well this weekend. That 3 day total is just unreal. Huge congrats to Combs!!!
  22. Man, what an awesome fish. Huge congrats!!!
  23. I do many things but only one is a ritual. I pray & thank God for another day of fishing. It always puts things into perspective for me. Catching fish is icing on the cake. The real blessing is to be able to fish & have the time to do it.
  24. Welcome. Great fish. Congrats on the PB!
  25. Yeah they wouldn't hit it unless I punched it through the grass next to the pads. Anything less then an ounce wasn't getting through the thicker stuff. Had to jig it up and down.
