  1. Ive never heard of this let me know if it works
  2. I need to get all of my equipment together and organize it.
  3. google earth is up to date and a good tool to use in a new area, FOR anything
  4. If you use a scent use something with nightwraler scent. I read in a book that was all abut scents that nightcralwer is the best garlic and salt scored the lowest despite their pobularity. I bout Powerbait Gulp Night crawler but havent used it yet
  5. Anyone here fish western Pa? I fish the allegeny river, Pymatuming lake, lake aurther and other spots in the area. whats your favorite lake around here?
  6. I use a black buzzbait at dark. Black is supposedly a good color for night and buzzbaits are also good for night because it is hard for bass to see at night and the vibration helps them find it. IT has turned up good results for me. As far a brand goes I dont think it matters a whole lot if they look and function the same. I usally do not buy the name brand ones because the other ones perform just as well. I buy $1 spinner and buzzbaits that work perfectly and name brand ones from strike king and etc. cost $3-$5.
  7. Well I read part of a book on this but can not remamer the name. Nightcrawler scent triggers the most feeding habits. Crawfish is second and after that is salt garlic and a few others. garlic was only at about 3% and salt was close to it where as nightcrawler at top was at about 80%. Then why do so many companies push salt and garlic so hard? Well, I recently bought a nightcrawler crawfish, and garlic scent to test which is best. All 3 are the Gulp! Alive spray so brand will not be a factor.
  8. a frog is probaly your best bet in the lily pads.
  9. Anyone Know where any clubs are in western Pennsylvania?
  10. welcome I am new to the forum also but have fished for a while. this site has alot of amazing info. check out the Articles there are very helpful.
  11. well it could be considered either and it is very contriversal. I think it is a sport. Sure it is not physical but look at golf. You have to know what they are biting on and etc. to be able to catch bass. It is also competitive espacially at a tourtimate. I would say fishing and golf is about the only non pyschal sport. But both require skill to excell where as hobby does not. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Either way it is still fun!!!!
  12. Wanted to know what was everyones favorite bait and why.
  13. Local, Dicks, or walmart. I just look around for cheap deals. I can get a Rapal crankbait at my local walmert for under $2. You can also buy generic spinnerbaits for $1 at walmart that work just as well. Dicks somtimes has some cheap lures too.
