  1. thanks, that is what I was thinking as well. They are in very good shape, one has a very small nick in the paint, but other than that they are like new.
  2. How much are they worth now days? I have two of the green curado 200's and thinking about selling, but I don't want to ask too much or sell them for too little. I don't get to fish much anymore, most of my spare time is spent training for triathlons, so I am swimming in some of the water I used to fish in :. Thanks
  3. The workouts are really good, very difficult at first and you will get stronger, however if the diet isn't inline, then you will not see the dramatic changes to the look of your body.
  4. I have a Bass Hunter boat for sale on Craigslist in KC. If anyone is interested or knows someone that is interested check it out. Here is the link. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/boa/1200038848.html
  5. I must be the exception to this rule. I have a Dell XPS laptop, bought it in January 2008, to this date, I have had to restore it to factory settings AT LEAST 9 times, replaced the HD and memory once, and now they are telling me that instead of restoring to factory settings, I should completely reformat it. I never call tech support, I always use the chat service, it eliminates the spoken accent of the person I am "talking" with so it is easier to understand. All that being said, my next computer will be a Mac, no doubt, hands down.
  6. I had a similar experience with my iPhone, I took it to the Genius bar, they read the tech notes from when I called in, and gave me a refrub. I took it home and it was having worse issues than my old one was. I took it back the same day, and they gave me a new in the box one, but the best part is, they told me that since they "gave" me the refurb, they couldn't take it back on exchange. So now my wife has an 8 GB "iTouch". Everything on the phone worked fine, except the phone part, so I got a new phone and she got a "new" iTouch. Great customer and a technical service in my opinion.
  7. How much do you want to sell your old windows computer for? Hadn't really thought about it. The desktop will get wiped clean, and then my son will get it for playing games and such. It will depend on if i get a iMac or a MacBook, whether I will get rid of my laptop.
  8. No, Windows explorer, outlook, word, Adobe, all lock up all the time. In addition to restoring the laptop 8 times, the RAM and the HD have been replaced. There are a lot of application errors, cdrom errors, as well as application hangs. I am just sick of M$ and want to give something else a try. The problems I am having are both on a XP machine as well as a Vista machine. sounds to me like you got a lemon. I have 3 different computer at my house and work with over 100 computers on a daily basis at work. I think you need to get your mother board replaced. If you have replaced the hard drive and ram an dit is still locking up there are other problems with that computer besides MICROSOFT. If it was possible to load mac osx10.5 on that computer it would still suck just as bad. I think that is the main problem I am having, have two computers in the house, both MS computers, and both have similar problems, as well as individual problems. I am just sick of having computers that have hardware and software problems, and from the numerous people, the problems I am having, don't exist with macs, or at least exist in dramatically smaller occurences.
  9. That is the resounding answer I have gotten from a lot of other people as well. People have told me they have had a Mac for years and never had a HD failure, very rarely, if ever had a program stop responding, and so much more secure internet surfing. Both my computers are Dell, and I can't explain how badly I want to take a baseball bat to both of them. Matt, do you find that the software included with the Mac, like iLife, is sufficient to do most things? I am just wondering if I would want or need to get Final Cut or Aperture for photo and video stuff.

  11. I have finally reached the point of total frustration with my Windows PCs. I am trying to edit video and burn DVD's and the *@#$ing things keep locking up. Everytime I try to do anything the program quits responding and I have to start over. I am using Roxio now, but I have used Nero, Pinnacle, Sony, Adobe, they all do they same thing. The computer should have plenty of power to do what I want, it is a Intel 2.2 Ghz dual core processor, 256 MB video card, 3 GB of Ram, and a 7200 RPM HD, and still locks up. I have restored to factory settings 8 times in the last year because of some type of file corruption, and I have reached my limit. Does anyone have any input on iMacs? I am looking at the 20" with 2.66 Ghz dual core processor.
  12. My cable is through SureWest/Everest. My DVR box is at least 2 years old, maybe pushing 3. Maybe the newer ones adjust themselves like you say? Might have to look into that. huskertko .... So you can watch current episodes ON Demand with Comcast? That's a pretty cool feature. When I lived in Lawrence my service from Comcast/Sunflower was awful. Awful price, awful features, awful customer service. Yeah, the new epsiode is usually available ON Demand the next day. Luckily all the shows my wife watches are on ON Demand, that way she doesn't record them to the DVR, taking up space.
  13. I am sure my wife will be ticked off, she is madly in love with William Peterson. Her only consolation is that she can watch it ON Demand with Comcast.
  14. I just bought a set for our fireplace, we have lived in the house for 7 years and never had a fire in it. Other than the recommended cleaning and inspection of the fireplace and chimney, how difficult is it to install these? There is already a gas line coming into the firebox and I am very comfortable with doing plumbing myself. Should I spend the money and hire a plumber to make the connection or is this something I can do myself?
  15. I used to play COD 4 online, and no the aim assist doesn't work on the online version, at least not in the same way it does in the single player game. I don't really play it anymore though, I am playing Socom:Confrontation now. I like it much better, less run and gun, everyman for himself and much more team oriented with more communication. Yeah, there are still a few glitches online, but the new 1.3 patch has fixed most of them. There is no single player campaign on this game. Clans are much more prevelant, and make it much more fun. If you get the game and want to join a real low key clan, that understands the game is not the only thing in life and that winning at all costs is not everything in the world, let me know.
  16. Trade yours in for a PS3 so I can play too. I have COD4 and no one to play with. I am huskertko on PS3, play COD4 and SoCom:Confrontation mostly
  17. I am trying to transfer video from my Laptop to my PS3 via my wireless network. The PS3 is capable of playing MPEG-4 files, but the only ones that show up on the PS3 are WMV files. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips to transfer video to the PS3?
  18. Glenn, can this be used to clean up the audio on a video recording as well? I have to video that has some noise from the camera that I would like to clean up.
  19. Well I deleted all the archive folders except for the last two, and I now have 95GB of free space that I didn't have before. I also changed the archive schedule to do it once a month rather than weekly.
  20. Ok, after some deductive reasoning, I think I have figured out that they are archive files from McAfee. The files are created every Monday, and that is what it appears McAfee is doing, not to mention the location for the McAfee archive is the same one that I was looking at, so I would think that I can delete this folder without much problems.
  21. Need them, I don't even know what they are and where they came from. So, why would they take up 99.8 gigs of space?
  22. Not sure what kind of files they are, this is what shows up when I open the folders: "a0baaa82-eb71-443d-afd5-35d9a8b4b6bf-2". When I click on it to open I get asked what I want to open it with. There is also an Index file with the extension of . arb. I can't believe that I would have 99.8 GB of archived Outlook files though.
  23. Ok, I have an external HD that is at capacity, and I don't have the funds to buy a new one now, even though they are under $100. I have backed up all the photos, video, music, and documents to DVD recently and I was looking at the folders that are on the HD. There is a folder called "archive" that is 99.8 GB in size, will it cause catastrophic failure if I delete this folder to make room on the HD?
  24. As bad as the TV broadcast is, the radio broadcast made my ears bleed. Dennis Green shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a broadcast booth.
  25. Sadly, I have only been fishing about 5 times this year, and only three of them from my boat. :'( None of the trips stand out as good days of catching. I fished SMP a couple times and Kill Creek a couple times, only once at Kill Creek did I catch a limit, and that was from the bank on a very foggy day with a LC Sammy. It has reached a point that I am actually considering selling my 2 person water scamp type boat after having it less than a year, I just can't justify having it and not using it, the only thing that has kept me from selling so far is my wife, she keeps telling me that I will have more time next summer and that I will regret selling it now, so we will see.
