  1. Hey guys/gals , I finally got a jet boat. Susquehanna...LOOK OUT! It's a 16'-1999 Lowe, with a Mercury 60/40 jet. I topped it out at about 25 mph which was a good speed for me, but... The problem, and may be it isn't...is that I was looking at 6000 RPM's. My question: What kind of RPM's should I be looking at when running, and what is too much? I see a lot of conflicting RPM #'s online. If you could shed any light on this, I'd appreciate it. I am NOT looking to go, say 40 MPH, just want to run the boat at a safe RPM. I never used to take my Bass boat over 5000, so I was a bit taken back at the Tack on the first running of the Jet. Thanks for any help...you may have for me. Jamie
  2. 3. Just got a Carbon Lite 6'9" ML Fast from BPS. I will pair it with a spinning reel in the next few weeks...probably sooner, after the rod shows up at the front door. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10205013_100002000_100000000_100002000_100-2-0 Getting Pumped for Spring. Thanks for all the input. Jamie
  4. I appreciate it! I may just throw some rods in, and try to find some local pond/state park bank action. I appreciate your post. Thanks- Jamie
  5. I am staying on Point Look Out (Md.) this Summer for a week, and was wondering what/if there are any Largemouth Spots, areas you'd suggest. Is this too brackish, or can I start up the Lower Potomac and find some good water to fish? It looks good on Google Earth, but was wondering who has fished this area, and is it worth taking the Boat on the trip? Thanks in advance- Jamie

  7. GYM TEACHER.....LIFE IS GOOD!
  8. Very cool. Very Nice pic as well.
  9. Champlain.....I am in!!!!! Who wants to go....and when?
  10. Had to share this "shack" on the Potomac. Sorry for the second pic, but it blew my mind.
  11. Love this picture and the memories it brings back... Twich, Twich....SPALOOSH! Unfortunately, South Bay, up at Champlain has some choked out areas of Water Chestnuts, but the Bass and Pike bites were AWSOME....even if you did set the hook, it was tough to get them up out of the weeds. You can see in the pic that the trolling motor is up. We'ed come in on plane, and just float the weeds...with help of the wind. It was very windy, and the weeds gave us a lot of controlled drifts. After the drifts, we'd cut the chestnuts off (with Fiskar scissors) the trolling and big motor, run around and drift another patch about 10-20 yards on either side of the last drift. We had a great time, and I wish I would have Brought more Cane Toads...but man....what a "blast". Peace
  12. Will pray for all involved. Jamie
  13. Beautiful dog. Congrats.
  14. I ran a pool last year at work . We had each guy pick random (out of a bucket ) anglers, and that's who we had for the whole tournament. We each had 7/8 anglers each, or something like that. One guy had an extra angler, and drew that through another drawing. Some had strong horses, while others had long shots. Last year, not ONLY top names got into the daily lead, and lunkers. We had daily winners for weight and lunker, and it was a blast. I also cut out the anglers faces from the Bassmaster Magazine, and then created an pictorial roster for each guy in the pool. That way, we could all follow at home and connect the anglers to the "knuckle head" that just took some of our money. It was really fun, and I think it cost each of us...$10 (8 payouts---2 per day---for 4 days) The extra $2/angler bought a round when we got together to hand out the winnings. We had 7 guys for our pool, and it was a blast. Jamie
  15. $7,000-$8,000. But just a wish/thought for now...really.
