I ran a pool last year at work . We had each guy pick random (out of a bucket ) anglers, and that's who we had for the whole tournament. We each had 7/8 anglers each, or something like that. One guy had an extra angler, and drew that through another drawing. Some had strong horses, while others had long shots. Last year, not ONLY top names got into the daily lead, and lunkers. We had daily winners for weight and lunker, and it was a blast. I also cut out the anglers faces from the Bassmaster Magazine, and then created an pictorial roster for each guy in the pool. That way, we could all follow at home and connect the anglers to the "knuckle head" that just took some of our money.
It was really fun, and I think it cost each of us...$10
(8 payouts---2 per day---for 4 days)
The extra $2/angler bought a round when we got together to hand out the winnings.
We had 7 guys for our pool, and it was a blast.
