  1. I am a boatless bass angler, so i only fish ponds. I use soft plastics jigged on the bottom most of the time, but i use everything like strike king sub surface spinners, roostertails, rat-l-trap, lots of jerbiats and crankbaits, sammys, everything really. But for the last 3 weeks i havent even had one hit, let alone a catch! So i have just been catfishing lately, and i catch over 10 like 3 pounders every time i go. Im trying to catch the 13 pound channel cat.
  2. I am almost positive that im in the period of inactivity right now then. But actually, i dont think the bass bite ever went down last year. And yeah i have been following the bass to the deeper waters throwing tops waters like Sammys all the way to the football head jigs. And still nothing, i follow from the start of the current to the end. Thanks for the tips mentioned, and keep them coming!
  3. Well i am fishing lakes around my neighborhood, so i can walk all the way around them. And i have been fishing the whole lake, throwing buzz baits, rooster tails, strike king spinners, rattle-traps, yozuri jerkbaits, soft plastics, jigs, and everything that i have. I have not had one bite in over two weeks and i have no idea why. There have been a few fronts coming through with lots of wind and cold temps the past two days but other than that it has been perfect. Other than the weather the past two days and what i listed above, i have no more info to give you.
  4. I had been catching at least 5 fish every day for about 2 months(sometimes 15+) but starting late Febuary and early March i havent even had a bite. What is going on?? I am pretty sure that the spawn is over but dont people still catch bass afterwards? I have been doing my normal thing, and i went to the store and bought all kinds of jigs, jerkbaits, and all kinds of new lures but havent cought a fish in forever!!! I checked the water and it seems that its getting more clear ( about 3 foot visibility in some lakes), and the water feels real warm, i dont know what to do. Any tips on what i can do to at least catch one bass?? Thanks!
  5. same, pm me if you have any info
  6. I just recently found myself gut hooking a few bass, it seems that i have to wait more than 2 seconds during the spawn. Has anyone else noticed this? I just hate seeing a nice bass bleed and not swim off. Thats why i used the 2 second rule and set the hook after those seconds.
  7. I stayed up till the end to watch it, and i thought the coverage was great. Too bad Bobby Lane didnt win :-/
  8. Hey im new to the forum and am wondering if any of you guys fish in Jacksonville or Ponte Vedra. If so maybe we can share some tips for catching these monster bass. Post up if you live anywhere close!
  9. I slowly jig the biggest curly tail red/black worm i can find, and it catches fish every time. In my lakes the hard plastics dont work that well, and you cant beat jigging a softy from medium to deep water. Good Luck!
  10. Ok im in love with coffee tubes now, i used them today and cought 10 bass!! One 6.5 pounder, and the rest were 3 pounders. And this was in a lake where i never cought anything before. The 6.5 pounder is the sixth biggest bass that i have ever seen in real life. This week ill take it to my honey holes and catch the 13 pounder people have been talking about
