  1. Beware of xps from bps. the inserts are so small on the 1/4 oz.bullet weight that 50# braid ain't goin thru it. :
  2. If I could get a new FE for $399 I'd sprint back to the store. For an FD, I probably still get it.
  3. Ya I was thinking that myself, or blasting the plastic insert with a torch to melt it out or something. I figured it probably more hassle then it's worth. I'll probably just boycott BPS for two or three years, maybe four or five, maybe six
  4. Zooms "Fat Albert twin tails''
  5. Yes, I called & was very pleasant as they were. Told them my story and they said thanks for letting us know. I told them I would now have to buy more, expensive, different brand, tungsten weights, and they said yes you will. :
  6. You would think that before Bass Pro mass marketed a product they would make sure the HOLE in their sinkers would accommodate fishing line running through it. I mean the diameter of 50# braid isn't that uncommon in Bass Fishing. : : : makes me wonder!!!!!!
  7. I too have picked up many tid-bits of useful info through the years, but I think the best advice led me to quality gear. GLX G.Loomis rods & Shimano reels.
  8. Bought 1/8, 3/16, & 1/4 oz. size. Then tried to thread 50# braid through them. 1/8 ok 3/16 ok but the heavier 1/4 no such luck, hole is too small. Drove me crazy. >:(Anyone had the same problem? Anyone had same problem with any other brand of Tungsten??
  9. FISH CHRIS Those fish pics are OBSCENE. No longer will I allow my children on this forum!!!
  10. X 2 That is what I use X3
  11. I heard that if people keep bashing senko's, Gary is going to stop making them. (we all have feelings)
  12. I've never seen 3'' ikas at *** just fat ikas
  13. Depending on what they're feeding on & time of year the 3'' can produce some hawgs . I do use both, but where I live the 3'' are real hard to come by.
  14. Need 3'' ika, not fat ika, couldn't see any 3'' ika (92) on their website.
  15. Time to stock up for the year and I really don't want to go straight to Yamamoto for them.
  16. 1. 3'' Ika 2. 4'' Ika 3. jig
  17. I love my glx 844c mbr especially for jigs, but I've got two of them and am being haunted by the new nrx. anyone had a chance to fish both rods and how do they compare ????
  18. Saw a post about fishing braid on spinning outfits. Question is do you always use a leader? & how about finesse fishing especially in clear water?
  19. Fishing in a constant drizzle with my "columbia omni-tech" coat, left me cold & uncomfortable. I've met the same fate with other "gore-tex" products. The only answer I've found to be sure I'm not going to get wet is pvc. That off course is not breathable & I have a dilema. Does ANY body have personal experience with a coat(shell) that will keep you dry? By the was "frog toggs" aren't the answer for me. THANKS
  20. Above all else. It's Fishing, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!! :)
  21. Just was wondering if you have had to cut your fishing trips or purchases due to tight $$, and if so,how much?
  22. My local Sportsman Warehouse ran out of them & they don't know when if they are going to get more in. None at Cabela's,TW,BPS, Dick's,just the 4'' Fat Ikas there.
  23. I would advice against buying any scale at all. Every one I know who starts using a scale automatically starts catching smaller fish.
