  5. X2, bad news when you run out of a certain bait or color when the fish are killing it and have to settle on a less productive bait.
  6. Ever had the opportunity to hunt & fish at the same time? Bring along the old fishing pole while duck & goose hunting a marsh or lake?

    Scales

I bought the "Berkley Digital Grip", mine were a piece of CR@P. Scales weight a 7.5 lb weight as 8.9#, a 25# weight as 20#s.I took them back to Cabela's the next day. (Side note) I paid $49.99 for them (catalog price). I later saw the ones I returned in Cabelas bargin cave, marked reg.$75.00 discounted to $45.00. Watch out for "bargins"

  9. Many prior post on this subject, but as for me I started many years ago, Left on both spinning & b/c. One of the best decisions I've ever made. It's so much more natural for me.
  10. I love to hunt ducks, but the biggest kick for me is calling them into the deeks. I never had a desire to compete in any contest other than out in on the water. Anyone else out there that call ? what calls do you use?
  11. My first and great love is waterfowl hunting (yes even greater than fishing) The challenge for me is that the quality of the hunt has diminished greatly over the last few years. TOO MANY HUNTERS and fewer and fewer quality places to hunt. We loose more area each year and the remaining areas become more crowded. A huge disappointment in my life. I try to compensate by fishing more in the spring & summer.
  12. There is a soft plastic that I believe is a must. I call it a Fa-teeka when I get an unwanted inquiry as to what I'm catching my fish on. But if you want to try them out you can get them through Gary Yamamoto baits. He calls it a Fat Ika (4") also the 3" Ika is a great bait. have fun!!!
