  1. Very possible, but from the experience I am betting it was a smallie.
  2. Not a titanium, but that's good to know.
  3. aI was fishing below a well know dam here in SW Idaho, with the Snake River running very high it has become a haven for smallies this year. The sad part is that there are many bucket "fisherman" that are keeping everything and all that they catch, but I digress. I was fishing a well known brand name spinner bait along, close to the bank. As I dropped the bait into the rocks I thought I was snagged up, until the fish started to take out line on a fairly tight drag. I got it close enough to the bank to where I could till it was huge. Then it turned and snapped the spinner bait like a twig. I have no idea how big it might have been, but it was huge and may have been a fish of a life time. Needless to say I am changing brands of spinner baits and am open for suggestions, seriously. PS the spinner bait was brand new just out of the package.
  4. Jon Boat 10'x32'' pelican type 8.5' x 36''
  5. I have been fishing out of a small "bass hunter/pelican" type boat for years, but am thinking of maybe purchasing a small 10ft aluminium Jon boat. I was wondering what are the advantages and disadvantages of both?
  6. This is so very interesting. Last few years I fish frog 90% of the time summer & fall. That's many hours and hundreds of bass. This year many of those bass have been in the heftier range up to 6.5#. In my experience there is no comparison as far as durability, the pad crasher will last up to 4 or 5 times more fish than the spro. It is interesting that people find the opposite
  7. I used spro for years. Pad Crashers cost less, last much longer, hold up better (you don't have to squeeze water out near as often) I now use Pad Crashers.
  8. Wait a minute, there's other ways to catch bass other than frogging ??????????
  9. They sure look good, but so far they have been disappointing.
  10. I've noticed a huge difference in my success when a "con trail" of bubbles are left behind my frog. Any one know the science behind this or where I could go to find out ???
  11. Fishing alone, if I want a pic, it's the only way. Of course I always could take them home and fry em.
  12. Landed a 7.5, 5.5, 4,2.5,2 along with 4 or 5 around a pound. All on jig during a rain storm. Not a bad day of bank fishing in Idaho (released all )
  13. Last week I lost a XD attached to a "brad" brand 50# clip. Pop off like it was on a 2# leader. So no more clips or swivels.
  14. Good start. Congrats
  15. PB are hard to forget. Congrats, nice bass
