  1. My Nitro has a 3 way switch. Fill/Empty/Recirclate. Move the lever to empty and it will drain while I motor on plain or pull out of a lake. No pump out here.
  2. On long trips or if I don't get the motor down tight enough on the transom saver the end of the transom saver that sits on the first roller on the boat will always move an inch or two to the right on the roller.
  3. Hey Bass Chump, did you consider using Humminbirds transducer exchange program? I recently installed a 585c on my bow and I sent the standard transducer to Humminbird in exchange for a trolling motor transducer, its alot more lower profile. I did hook up the 585c to my boats electrical system which has a master power switch. My main graph is run off of the trolling motor batteries.
  4. Flowmasters will run about $150-$170 a piece installed.
  5. I've been in the bowling business for 34 years both as a mechanic for 23 years and now the last 11 years being distributor for Brunswick out here on the west coast. As for you comment Bass-Brat, bowling started it decline in the 90's due to mainly 2 things. 1, the economy sucks and people didn't have much extra money(just like now) 2, the bowling industry insisted on saying bowling is a "sport" to which it is not. Bowling is a recreational game in a totally controlled atmosphere both on and off the lanes. Then the bowlers(higher average ones) started saying they were "athletes" LOL
  6. Jimmy Houston and David Fritts.
  7. I use Elton Optics Wraptors with my prescription and get the lense as dark as possible which is dark gray.
  8. I use Elton Optics out of Las Vegas. They can even do prescriptions at a reasonable price. eltonoptics.com The Wraptors are very nice.
  9. Lower Otay is a very nice lake. One of my favorites!
  10. I can see the Saddle Dam from my backyard. Hope you like 'deep' water fishing. The shallows are pounded on a daily basis and in most parts of the lake you are in 50-60 feet of water and maybe only a 100-150 feet from shore. The people who work in the tackle shop and launch ramp are the rudest individuals I have ever dealt with at a lake.
  11. My buddy has a 109lb 36v wireless TM. I'm not a big fan of it because I don't like the delay of when you activate the TM from the foot pedal to the time it takes to respond. At least a second.
  12. I wouldn't take them if you gave them to me. In my boat and in my travel trailer they both came brand new with Interstate batteries. They were toast after a year. I'v got 6 years on my 2 Duralast trolling motor batteries and 1 cranking battery. Duralast deep cycles in the trailer for 3 years. Just my take.
  13. Not really a good picture but it one of the few I could locate.
  14. If you use a TM transducer versus an adapted transom mount on your TM you are eliminating alot of excess baggage. The TM mounted transducers are alot more lower profile.
  15. I take it you have 2 T-motors on the transom. Unless they are high thrust I don't see why you couldn't tie them together on 1 bigfoot switch just as long as the amps don't get to high. If you wire your batteries parallel you still keep them at 12 volts just with 2 batteries now.
  16. I just installed a Humminbird 585c on the bow and a Humminbird 787c2i on the console. Everything was installed dead nuts level. First trip out I got some interference while running both of them at the same time. I think it was JigMan that suggested tilting the rear transducer back. I tilted the rear transducer rearward 1 notch and everything is fine.
  17. And don't forget to try and get the closest drop for the hitch to have the boat and trailer as close to level with the truck so the towing is smooth.
  18. Just make sure you buddies puts blinders on at D.V.Lake because the punks that work there are the rudest people I have ever dealt with anywhere when fishing. I'll take Lake Perris any day over D.V.
  19. Mercury Marine has a nice prop page. Sorry but this site wouldn't let paste it in.
  20. I re-did mine a couple of years ago and I did this. Got some pressure treated wood and cut to the proper length for each bunk. 6 bunks in my case. Measured out and cut the carpet and added about 12 inches( 6 inches on each end). I then 'coated' each bunk (one at a time) with waterproof GE silicone and placed the bunk board right in the center of the carpet and then folder over the carpet and then stapled the bottom side with a air stapler. When I was done with all 6 bunks, I put one of the new bunks on a floor jack and raised the boat up just enough to remove the old bunks and install the new ones. Tightened new S/S screws down as tight as they would go and re-tightened them after a few trips to the lake.
  21. I currently have Duralast batteries in my boat. Going on 6 years for the main battery and 5 years on the trolling motor batteries. A little trick I learned from an old guy some years ago (he was alot older than me) was when purchasing new batteries take your volt meter into the store and test each battery until you find the highest voltage one and if the voltage is high enough for you then buy it. He said that the voltage will never be higher than the original voltage of the battery when you buy it. Even after a good charge. I have found this to be true.
  22. I've got a 2000 Nitro NX882 with a same year of Mercury 150 EFI running a 4 blade stainless steel Trophy Lazer II 21 pitch blade.(jez, i hope i got all that right). With my new Humminbird 787c2i combo graph I clocked 59.9 MPH on calm conditions last saturday. My boat is 18'2".
  23. I just installed a 585c(trolling motor) and a 787c2i(console) on my Nitro NX882 bass boat. I wired both graphs together on a direct feed from my main battery and zip tied the wires up to the main wiring harness. I'm getting some 'feedback' on the main graph when running above 2000 RPM's. The transducer is mounted level on a 'lower' transom where my boat picks up water for the live well. My main transom goes down 16-18 inches and then goes straight towards the bow for 16 inches and then drops another 6 inches. This is where the transducer is mounted. I turned the noise reducer to maximun 'High 3' and alot of the interference went away but there are still broken up vertical lines. Should I put the power wire in conduit, change to resistor plugs(if NGK makes one for a BU8H) more the power wire, wrap up the transducer wire, all of the above. I posted on BPS forums but found this site which better for bassfishing info. Thank you. Rick
