  1. It looks like a white crappie / yellow perch hybrid. I've never seen stripes on a crappie or sunfish.
  2. Going up to beautiful Merrymeeting Lake tommorrow in search for some catch and release salmon. Any suggestions on what to use and where to fish? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks fellas.
  3. That there is a fine smallmouth! Pat on the back for him. Nice job!
  4. BTW> Beautiful Bow Lake shot. A must visit.
  5. I like the sound of 5 pounds. I gotta get me a digital scale. Thanks .
  6. haha. The sippy cup! We had my daughter with us. She's a real champ on the boat. She stays nice and quiet 'cuz she doesn't want to scare the fishies away. Every fish we pull in she just HAS to pet it. Such a doll.
  7. My scale read 1 pound which I know is wrong. I weighed a 5 pound weight on it later in the evening and it read about 1 pound. So, I know my scale is screwey. She had a gut on her. What yall think?
  8. My only catch that night.... shorecasting the Salmon Falls River, Rollinsford, NH .....topwater with my Mann's Baby Bass 1 minus. Smallmouth.
  9. One of my girlfriend's catches. Not bad.
  10. My girlfriend's biggest of the day. (I think ever)
  11. My biggest smallie for that day.
  12. My biggest for the day.
  13. We caught these on Bow Lake, Strafford, NH. Between the two of us we landed 15 bass and I personally lost 4 pole benders. Enjoy. PS: Catched and release was practiced thoroughly and all bass swam away strong.
  14. I've caught plenty of large pickerel and I'd say only 10% of them got away by chewing my line. It could have been a pickerel. When they get that large the fight slows (not that they still don't fight like hell) down and they tend to move towards cover or deeps. Just my opinion. If there isn't supposed to be carp there, then there probably isn't. I dunno.
  15. What about Russell Pond? Not sure if there are bass but you could look it up. For good bass fishing you wanna head east toward Conway and hit up Conway Lake, Chocorua Lake, Silver Lake, and Ossipee Lake. I'm heading up to The Kank in mid July and stopping at Ossipee Lake on the way. Good trout fishing up there though.
  16. That engine was in mint condition. Too small to push my 14 footer though. Now I have an Evinrude 8 in excellent condition I scored for free (keeping that one), and now the Merc 7.5 for free (selling it). Another pic of the 2.5
  17. After I clean it up and get it running it will be in nice shape. Thanks for the price range. I had a 1988 Evinrude 2.5HP that sold for $350.
  18. I caught one very similar in size the other night. Night fishing.... pitch black using my Mann's Baby Bass 1 minus (topwater). Jitterbugs produce at night also.
  19. Anyone know of its value? I scored it for free. Its a 1977 Mercury 7.5HP longshaft. I already have an Evinrude 8 HP. Anyone know how much I could get for this engine? Thanks.
  20. Those are beautiful Hoffman. Nice work. I knew Tony would be here. Haven't had a chance at the trout yet this season but I usually have splendid luck with little joe inline spinners, panther martins and my favorite.......... rooster tails. When my box is low I hit up the terminal tackle........ I tie on a swivel clamp and attach a small silver spoon.... and a small sharp hook with a worm on it. Gets em every time.
  21. Where the hell do you find the time????? Boat project will be done soon and I'll be hitting you up Marty. Fine work lad.
  22. 3 words....................... START THROWING SENKOS. 5 inch...... any color............... work them thoroughly around structure. Preferably T-Rigged.
  23. I got this 1988 Evinrude 2.5 HP 2 Cycle. It hasn't been ran in years. On the front of the enginethere are 2 knobs. The left one has a picture of a gas tank with an X thru it, a regular gas tank, and the knob shown pulled out a little, then more, then all the way. I'm assuming this us the choke?? The knob to the right looks like a volume switch and just keeps turning and turning either way. On the top of the motor there is a lever I can move back and forth. No idea what its for. My other question is the fuel tank. Do I need to pump the gas first? The long lever on the right of the engine that moves up and down, is that the throttle? Which direction is slow/fast? I have no idea how to start this thing. I took the spark plugs out and they still spark. There seems to be compression. Just don't get it. Any help would be much appreciated.
  24. How much for the bottom one....... just curious. If I were a rich wretched I would hire you soley to make tackle for me.
  25. As always Marty.......... perfection. I'll be hitting you up for some cranks once I get my funds in order. And by order I mean, not spending all my money on my boat project. ;D
