  1. I would have to go with a battery issue also.
  2. Surely, that can't be legal. Imagine fishing along and have that come thru the bottom of your boat.
  3. Been there, done that. $4800 rebuild, reputable mechanic.
  4. That's what I was thinkin' but didn't want to tear anything up. Will try when I get back to town in a couple days, thanks.
  5. Could any body tell me how to seperate the two pieces of a lowrance Gps antenna. Am moving it from one boat to the other need to get the mounting screws off and I didn't install it.
  6. I have never had to powerload, I feel it is completely unneccasary, yet see people do it all the time at the ramp. I have a 21' procraft. Once I noticed this guy watching me trailer my boat and afterwards he came over and said "I hope you didn't mind me almost staring at you but this is our first boat and I my first time trailering it, so I was watching everyone else first, to get some kind of idea. I noticed you and a few others didn't have to power up." I replied "Naw, its like kissin' your sister ain't nothin to it!" I gave him a few pointers and noticed he trailered like a pro, in his bay boat. And he also didn't have to power up. That's why they call it a winch strap. You are putting an extra amount of fatige on your bow arm on your trailer. Just my opinion.
  7. Is fishing dangerous, yes, to your marraige/relationships, job, and a few other areas of your personal life. ;D
  8. Even though I rarely fish any waters in my home state I always purchase the trout stamp and also we have an optional habitat improvement stamp along with the purchase of fishing license because you never know plus all monies help to improve our fisheries.
  9. I use the plano spinnerbait boxes, walmart used to carry but thanks to downsizing, my local one dosn't anymore. Before that i kept them in worm bags. The ones with the ring binders and ziplock pouches. However they all seem to end up strewn around the boat or in my storage trays.
  10. You might want to try hiring Roy Greer for a day @ the bassfishingclinic.com. He is very knowledgeable and will go on your boat for a very reasonable price. Good Fishing .
  11. Is that good lighting or poor lighting. ;D Sorry Catt, first post in along time just had to be a wise guy.
  12. Age is not the only thing that causes short term memory loss. ;D
  13. You forgot a whole lotta luck. And that guy at the crappie house fishing with minnows. ;D
  14. I am eagerly awaiting my flight. Redemption draws near.
  15. Beat the heck out of the banks with a spinnerbait. ;D If that didn't work a drag net on the way in.
  16. The bass in my avatar was caught on a swim senko, however I rarely throw them. I tend to agree with others that I wouldn't limit myself to just the one bait, however if it works for you, whose to say.
  17. My wife and I lost two. That was my only chance to have children as she is now 50. My sympathies to you both, I know its a hard loss. My prayers are with and for you. P.S. Please don't be mad at G-D. I do have a lovely step-daughter though with two children of her own, so I got to be a grandfather without actually ever being a father.
  18. More durable, cheaper, and did I say cheaper. ;D Fall rate is about the same.
  19. Toolpusher (rig supervisor) on an on-land oil/gas drilling rig. Last week I was a driller for 7 days as the recent downturn has our rigs going up and down (stacked out). I'm good in this position for at least the next 10 days, then maybe back to drilling, depending on when one of our rigs finishes up, if they find more work. I am hoping I don't end up as a roughneck or even worse laid-off, but I don't see that happening as our company is the best in the area. Safety,Safety Safety. Deeper, Cheaper.

  21. I believe it's because they are not professionally tuned like your brandname, they are probably factory rejects anyway, maybe just a different erratic action. I have observed the same thing though. However i do not think all spinnerbaits are created equal, but that all spinnerbaits will catch fish.
  22. Even though I'm probably setting myself up for ridicule, here it is, I have caught just as many if not more bass, with a one dollar spinner from walmart and academy as I have with the name brands. There I said it.
  23. Chris Fenk was looking for free trolling motor.
  24. Got my Chronarch in Fri.. Paired it with a Powell 6'8" med. heavy. Can't wait to get to fish with it. I did go to the local pond and made a few casts, feeling a little experimental threw into a 25-30 mph head wind. Guess what? No backlash. In my opinion this is the difference in a expensive reel than a cheaper model.
